Uncharted 2, 3, The Last of Us multiplayer on PS3 being taken offline September 3rd.

I wasn't even aware the MP from Uncharted 2 was still live. Incredible run.

UC2/3 and TLoU had multiplayer modes that had no business being as good or well designed as they were. I'll really miss the excitement of the early UC2 beta and finally getting a well-playing third person shooter on PS3 to get me off my Gears of War addiction.

To be clear, when I saw the thread, it was nothing but the title, with a period in the Op. he updated it with the tweet.
The TLOU MP was so, so good. Incredible good. Everytime I read people saying that TLOU gameplay was subpar, all I could think of is: "How the gameplay was subpar, if the same gameplay provided one of the best MP experiences from last gen?"
Didn't even know Uncharted 2 servers will still up. End of an era. Salute to Naughty Dog for supporting their games for so long.

It was never going to be coming anyway via discs because of the different cell architecture
If there is PS3 BC it will be done via PS Now
or possibly that it is coming but because name change did bugs on the online modes they are taking them down, is my guess.
I've got a lot of content from the PS3 id love to access again.
I just hate how we lose communities to games, online features to games, and everyone just accepts it and says well the new version is out, move on.
In some cases we move past previous games which to some people are the most fun. I just hope emulation can come to the rescue and enable these features which are lost.

I remember loving Uncharted 3 MP during the first beta which took place shortly after the PSN hack. Then the full game came out and I didn't like it at all. They actually made the game WORSE between beta and release.

It would be cool if they made the Uncharted 4 MP free at this moment, it has some U2 and U3 maps in it.
You can still play Gears 1 MP online, kinda stupid that PS3 servers are being closed left and right.
It's -the- thing I think of any time someone tells me that you can't have both a realistically weighty game (RDR2) without it also being mechanically responsive.

Halo 3 MP is still being updated and supported and that game came out 12 years ago
