lol... this site can be very one-sided on this issue. What is the point of threads like these if one will get banned for just this post?

lolicon is the explicit term used to state knowingly underage content. It's not even that skirting on the edge shit some anime/hentai tries.

Lolicon, also romanized as lolikon or rorikon, is Japanese discourse or media focusing on the attraction to young or prepubescent girls.

What next, making that same argument for toddlercon? Yes, that's a real thing many on here were made aware of thanks to the 8chan THQ kerfuffle.

toddlercon (uncountable) (anime) Erotic or suggestive art depicting very young children, of toddler age.

And you wonder why bans get handed out for blatant excusing/handwaving of such content? Do you want all of Resetera on a watch list?

Would this apply to stuff like Big Mouth?

I'm not sure about criminalizing this stuff except for instances where it is a depiction of real life events. There's a pretty big difference between something like A Girl on the Shore and loli porn too.

How about Hollywood movies and tv shows and music videos, Britney Spears was 16 in that music video where she's dancing around in a school girl outfit, don't tell me that's not sexual

Pretty much every piece of Japanese media in existence has some sort of sexual allusion thrown in there, even if its not intended to be sexual. You'd have to ban pretty much everything from sale from Japan. The fact that this is so generalized towards art to begin with rather than real life abuse which tends to get lower sentences in Japan is concerning.

Not to say Japan's focus on moe and underage girls in sexual situations in anime and manga in particular isnt problematic and shouldnt be reigned in on their end, but from what i'm understanding, this project is far more than just about that but covers a broad swath of things that are either already on sale or have the potential of being on sale. We're talking major brands here, even things like Dragonball and Naruto and Bleach and such.

User banned (1 month): defending the sexualization of minors, fictional or otherwise, is not allowed.
Eh, it's creepy but I fail to see how it causes any actual harm. I'm a pretty big 1st amendment supporter, so I'd have an issue banning completely fictional representations just because it's creepy and disturbing.
