Hi ERA,

It's September 3rd in my time zone and I'm trying to access UPlay+ for my free trial that's supposed to launch today.

Does anyone know when UPlay+ is supposed to launch?

I live in the Eastern Time Zone of the U.S.

Already launched in France. Took some time and error messages, but it is launched.
Now people are reporting being charged for the free month by error.
Oh and...

Due to technical reasons Anno 1800 will not be available on Uplay+ at the launch of the service. We are working to make it available for players as soon as possible. We’ll provide a more precise date when we can.

WTF.... Ubisoft better not charge me for my free trial of UPlay+, I signed up for it months in advance.

after many attempts they charged me 15 euros, then I can't play because it says my plan is expired. WTF, don't sign in for now it's a mesz

Watching my Paypal account closely.
Oh, and I selected Paypal because there was no way to uncheck the 'save credit card info' option. Like I would have enough confidence in Ubi to give them permission to save that info.

I would give it a few more hours to settle. There seems to be a lot of problems with the service right now, and Ubisoft is aware of this. I can't even get to the "sign up" page in Norway, and I suspect that's deliberate on Ubi's part because of the problems.

There's a lot of issues going on right now. The store page has been leading to a 404 for a long time. The Uplay client is showing "notify me" on its Uplay page. But at one point the Uplay client also showed it as launched, but just linked to its own 404 page, until it went back to the "notify me" page.

As people seem to be getting charged, it looks like it's a bad time to sign up and you should wait till tomorrow for all the issues to be gone.

Oh, Ubisoft.

Also, this problem of not being able to access the UPlay+ page via the Ubi Store is recent for me.

I was able to access the UPlay+ page last night at around 8 PM Eastern to re-confirm that Ubi has my account on record for the free trial and I was able to get the message saying my account is linked to the free trial for UPlay+ that will begin on September 3rd but no specific time mentioned on the page.

Sign ups are probably disabled due to that issue where people were getting charged money for their free trial.

This really sucks, I wanted to check out exactly what games are available during this free trial of UPlay+ and if any are interesting, I wanted to download some and try playing them today.

A Uplay+ tab appeared on my Uplay client! And it leads to the same thing as the Store tab so there's two tabs doing the same thing. Clicking to activate the trial still brings me to a "product not found" page.

I think things are not going well

This is the month I play Odyssey for absolutely free!~~ was my thought, so we'll see. Wouldn't mind Anno 1800 either xD

    ONGOING

    Unable to Subscribe Due to Failed Payments
    Description    : Players are unable to activate the free trial due to a failed payment.
    Status: Under investigation as the issue has resurfaced.

    Unable To Activate Uplay+ Through Uplay
    Description    : Players are unable to activate Uplay+ through the Uplay PC application, either on the Uplay+ tab or store tab
    Status: Under investigation
    Workaround: Activate through the Store website: https://store.ubi.com/uplayplus

    Anno 1800 Not Included - FAQ
    Description    : Anno 1800 is not included in Uplay+ subscription
    Status: Due to technical reasons Anno 1800 will not be available on Uplay+ at the launch of the service. We are working to make it available for players as soon as possible. We’ll provide a more precise date when we can.

    Authorization Hold - FAQ
    Description    : Players appear to be charged for the Uplay+ free trial.
    Status: We ask for a payment method to prevent interruption of service after the free trial. We do this by sending an authorization request to your financial institution, to verify that your payment method works. These requests are not charges, but in some cases they may temporarily affect your available account balance.

    Subscription Expired
    Description    : Users receives a message stating that their Uplay+ subscription has expired when attempting to add games to their library.
    Status: Under investigation.

    Uplay+ Invalid link to sign up on store home page
    Description    : The "Start your free trial" button on store.ubi.com currently points to an invalid url.
    Status: Under Investigation
    Workaround: Activate through: https://store.ubi.com/uplayplus/games

    Now the sign up button redirects back to the store page. So you can click the sign up button over and over again and nothing happens.

    Like the definition of insanity, the concept introduced to video games by Ubisoft.

    PayPal told me it'll be $1 but I didn't get an email from them afterwards...weird.

    I'm stoked that it's the ultimate edition of Odyssey, as it should be.

    UPDATE - 3:54 PM EASTERN:

    My UPlay app has a UPlay+ link between "Store" and "Ghost Recon Breakpoint Beta." I clicked on UPlay+ and it successfully loads the site and shows that my free trial is indeed activated. I've been able to add all the UPlay+ games to my UPlay game library and am able to download them without any problem.

    Give it some time, people are probably hammering the service right now. :) Hopefully they'll be able to resolve most issues before the weekend.

    It worked for me (in Norway) after I got home from work a couple of hours ago. I've been downloading and adding games to my library, and played the Assassin's Creed Odyssey for a little while. Nice to see all the DLC installed and active.

    Once I managed to activate my Uplay+ trial, everything has been really smooth. No indications on my side that any servers are getting hammered.

    I had registered for it before but for some reason it didn't show up as me having done it today. Signed up again for the free month and in my checkout screen I see it saying that Uplay+ is $1.00 per month and that you'll spend $12.00 a year. The fine print says otherwise but that's a pretty big display issue.

    It came up on my end and is working fine! Just got into Siege with the base game and now have access to all of the characters!

    I feel like uPlay+ is going to be a thing I stick with! There's so many god damn games and DLC being released by them and a great enough backlog, that I don't know if there will ever be a month I let it lapse. We'll see!
