inaccurate weapons really are double edged sword.

You miss that military installation, but score big on civilian hospital that is block over because your missile is garbage.
Yeah, thankfully no casualties this time but if attacks like these continue it's only a matter of time before we have serious civilian casualties or an actual hit on the embassy.

My friend in Baghdad says missile alarms are going off currently...waiting to see if it hits the news.

Edit: ignore, late as usual.

#NotAllMilitary , I still remember arguing in the past thread. Does the distinction really matter when you can have any nationalistic bigot threaten wiping out a populace? Doubly so when said mentality is the majority?
Military is filled with people of the general population.

You're going to have nutcases just like you're going to have people on the left. Now obviously depending on the branch you'll have populations that tend to be more conservative, and overall the military is a conservative institution but if we're doing a sample size of one you're gonna have some silly assumptions.

Now they’re insulted by an overreach of the executive when he’s been doing it all along. They have choices too, have Pompeo resign, take back the war powers or get rid of trump for again abusing his power. This is all on gop senate now.

This is such a clusterfuck

Almost like Burn After Reading IRL, but actual missiles are involved, actually killing people

Holy shit

Was Mike Lee a huge Trump supporter before?
ALL republican senators have been covering for Trump but war is a bridge too far for Ran Paul, it’s not enough for removal though as he’s not particularly attacking Trump as he’s attacking the powers that got abused here which he and others have been trying to scale back since the Iraq war.

For those asking about Mike Lee, in 2016 he withheld voting for President because he didn't like Trump.

However, as recently as November, he claims he's now a fan of the President and in fact committed to co-chair his reelection efforts in Utah.

This reads like he doesn't like Trump but was more than willing to fall in line for the sake of the party.

After this briefing though it seems that the Trump administration demanding a co-equal branch of government to remain silent over their recent military exploits without providing any clear justification for them may have been a bridge too far for him.

Gee, it's almost like that guy you refuse to hold accountable for anything and let do whatever the fuck he wants, is gonna keep doing whatever the fuck he wants. The fact that any GOP Congress members are surprised by this absolutely blows my mind.

They are always put off by trump, but they always justify it later.

Mike Lee started off his cpsan interview talking about his support for Trump(known fascist).

So, 60+ people died (Soleimani's assassination + people who died during the funeral procession in Iran), we almost had a war, and their reasons for all this were so bad that they couldn't even tell them to their own buddies?

The real reason was that Trump was freaked out that the embassy protests were gonna be his own Benghazi and so panicked and murdered a dude in a knee jerk response. Everything since then has been a desperate attempt to try and justify it with a reason that isn’t so self serving and stupid.

So where are we now? Trump said Iran is winding down on the attacks, is that true? I thought they were intent on getting on revenge?

This and other photos show that not only are those missiles incredibly accurate but also Iran purposefully chose targets that minimized the risk of killing US service members in order to deescalate. I think those with more common sense has seen this images and understood that if Iran chose to they could have killed hundreds if not thousands last night.

Marco Rubio is a regime change superfan who wants America to go to war with Iran and a whole lot of other countries.
He might be dumb as fuck, but he's also a dangerous motherfucker who should be kept far away from any position of power.
Yep. This is not the time circle the wagons around this administration as usual and treat this shit like a team sport. Hope they staple the clown shoes on to his feet.

Have any western countries condemned the US’s actions?
Not that I heard.
This is what NATO had to say -

“We are united in condemning Iran’s support of a variety of different terrorist groups,” Stoltenberg said. “At the meeting today, allies called for restraint and de-escalation. A new conflict would be in no one’s interest. So Iran must refrain from further violence and provocations.”

Iran doesnt have full control over every militia that is aligned with them, especially now that qasem soleimani who was personally handling communications with many of them is dead
