Fuck the Republican party. Fuck Trump's all out effort to drum up white fragility, fear and racial resentment to a ridiculous degree in the final days of this campaign.

I hope to be celebrating some significant gubernatorial and house gains on the 6th and, God willing, defying the Senate projections and finding someway of us holding onto MO, IN and FL while snatching AZ and NV. That would set the stage nicely for Beto to shock the world.

Fuck Kevin Cramer.

Looking forward to voting against that shithead and for recreational cannabis and approval voting in Fargo.

Well exactly, I want to know! I can't do anything so tell me how the people who can do something are leaning.

Haha, this just shows a completely different mindset between us. If there is nothing I can do about something I just pay it no mind, focus on the things I have an effect on.

If Beto and Bresden lose which are both relatively likely I guarantee pundits are gonna be hammering the dems no matter how many house seats we flip or how well we do in governorships.

Yo, this is an extremely healthy mindset to have, and one that more people should adopt. Good looking out, man.

Do you doubt her power?!?!?!?!

People are goofing on her because she's astronomically fucked in the polls.

Holding on to MO, IN, FL and ND, gaining AZ, NV, TX and TN. Believe.

(I would party through Monday)

If he loses?

Isn't he behind rn?
Yes but he's hot, woke and charismatic against the most unlikeable person in Congress. Him losing won't be surprising, but it'll just cement the fact that Texas isn't as purple as people would have you believe. Maybe in another 10 years.

Yeah and has barely been within the margin of error.

But if he loses and the Democrats also fail to capture the Senate after they have poured $70mil into his race that he has refused to share with other Democratic candidates, I think heads should roll at the DNC. They've spent the last 10 years focused way too much as an organization on top candidates and ignoring minor races.

Eh, it sets expectations at least somewhat realistically. And the mechanics behind the modeling can be interesting, and seeing how they did. It's like a meta game.

If he loses?

Isn't he behind rn?

Yeah he's quite a bit behind. A win isn't out of the question or anything but a loss is most likely given the numbers.

I don't really have anything to add other than saying I voted on Monday. Unfortunately I live in a pretty red state (Kansas), but I at least did my part to try to end this nightmare.

Is this a troll post?

Beto raised that money himself.

You think the DNC would give seventy million dollars to a Democrat in Texas?

Already voted. I'm convinced Dems will take the House, and am hoping for a miracle in the Senate. Next Tuesday is gonna be a long night, though.

They just spent another chunk of money on toss up house races the other day. Also DNC isn't what you mean, they're only for presidential campaigns and most of Beto's money is from his campaign fundraising, plus I'm pretty sure besides helping to pull other dems over the line I think he donated to some TX races.

I'm ready. Can't be overstated how important this election is.

I think we get around 45 House seats. 50/50 in the Senate is probably the outcome, but I won't rule out a 51/49 win for Democrats. Big waves can bring surprises.

Confident in the House, unsure about the Senate. If turnout is good and Dems have a good night, it's possible to beat expectations. Expect to pick up a lot of governorships too. Should be a good night of repudiating Trump, gonna be a long week till next Tuesday.

Well I suppose thats what I get for relying on my voting guide from the mail. Guess I am going to pray Kevin McCarthy suddenly ascends to the astral plane on november 5th. Because he is favored to win CA23 on 538 at 99%.

Not a troll post. Just pointing out that the Democratic Party is such a broken machine as an organization. There's plenty of tension between the party and his campaign about sharing his $38 million 3rd quarter haul with candidates that have a better chance to win, especially if Beto has aspirations beyond the Senate down the road.

Also DNC isn't what you mean, they're only for presidential campaigns and most of Beto's money is from his campaign fundraising, plus I'm pretty sure besides helping to pull other dems over the line I think he donated to some TX races.

Yeah, sorry. I meant the DSCC in his case (thanks, Ambien!). I don't believe he has donated to other candidates though.

Already voted, excited and nervous for Tuesday. It's unreal that it's already been two years since the last big election night.

Not the needle!!!

Great OP.

While I'm cheering for the House and praying for the Senate, I'm also really hoping Cordray wins for governor of Ohio. The ads have been super nasty with over the top bullshit these last few days because the PACs know enough people won't see the fact checking until the election is over.

It's the GOP strategy. Hugin has completely dropped any pretense and is straight up saying Menendez had sex with underage prostitutes not to mention the nationwide BS theyre doing on healthcare.

The people complaining about Beto not sharing in that story are...members of the Democratic Party establishment.

You literally started out by saying heads should roll at the DNC (wrong organization) because they haven't distributed money they don't control, that belongs to a specific candidate, who they've already asked to distribute the money, as detailed in the article you yourself cited.

Is it clear to you how absurd that is?

He has! You literally know nothing about the topic you've chosen, unprompted, to opine about!

This OP though.

House is a lock (but still cautiously optimistic), and narrowly getting the Senate majority via Beto. Hoping for the best the governor races.

Democratic does need its own fixings, but it sure as hell beats the fascist party on the other side.

Already voted, let's see where things fall. Hope more than the house flips. The next most likely thing is a governor sweep. Really need the Senate to flip, though.

Also, the implication is that the correct way to handle the fundraising here is to turn the Beto campaign into a money laundering scheme to funnel money from TX progressives into the campaigns of other candidates, most of whom are not in fact running in TX.

Texans gave Beto that money. There's no indication that they would've given that money to anyone else. It is money for Beto's campaign. I don't think it's the right thing to do to just tell those donors that you're redirecting their money.

Cool your jets, slick. I corrected myself and was making more a point that the Democratic party's organization is a fucking trainwreck in terms of fundraising. When he's receiving millions through ActBlue from non-Texas donors, the Democratic party could be doing a better job encouraging donations to be directed elsewhere.

And can you provide any evidence that he has shared his money with other candidates? His current FEC filings have zero contributions to other candidates listed.

Early voting makes the process very convenient. I simply get to go in on a day I'm not working, and the lines are short. Every state should have it.

You keep being wrong about more things each time you post.

Most of his money comes from Texans like me. In fact, a greater percentage of Beto's money came from texans compared to Cruz — Cruz is the one relying more on out of state funds. But somehow you've bought into Cruz' narrative that Beto is the one getting national money. National dems aren't diverting money to Beto — he is raising that himself.

There are a lot of left leaning voters in Texas despite it being a red state. 43% voted for Clinton — if you took 43% of Texans and made their own state, it'd be like the 6th largest state. Those people want Beto. That's why he has raised so much. They wouldn't donate to candidates in other states.

Stacey Abrams apparently tied with Kemp here in Georgia, I'm trying not to set myself up for disappointment like the 16 election night...but I'm so excited, I feel hope inside I haven't had since the last election.

I'm not a fan of the needle... I know the objective fact is it doesn't, but it feels like it gamifies the whole results process, and it annoys me. It's a shame that the WaPo lags behind the NYT in pushing results (for reasons I don't get), so I may have to deal with the needle just for the sake of getting info quicker.

Voted early along with my parents', surprisingly, my dad voted Democrat on the ballot when he voted for Trump during the election, so good for him? I was the 69th person to vote early, hoping it picks up because that felt a little low to be seeing. Hope everyone gets out there and votes because elections are important. Don't skip out. I like to think that if one has enough time to look at porn than one has enough time to go and vote. And I'm strictly speaking to those that have the opportunity to vote but choose not to.
