The black % of the vote was 29% in 2014 and 33% in 2016. It isn't going to be 25% in 2018.

Scumbag Cruz

After joke about Beto sharing a cell with Hillary, Cruz denounces overheated rhetoric and mail bombs
https://www.dallasnews.com/news/201...cruz-denounces-overheated-rhetoric-mail-bombs

On Tuesday, Sen. Ted Cruz joked that his opponent, Rep. Beto O'Rourke, could share a jail cell with Hillary Clinton and spoke darkly of Democratic mobs.
Stumping in Dallas on Wednesday, Cruz denounced overheated rhetoric and political violence of any kind -- and lay the bulk of blame on the left for poisoning the nation's civic discourse.

"Violence is wrong wherever it falls in the political spectrum. This is a deep polarized and divided time. That division, that anger is not good for our country, and it is my hope that everyone can just -- calm down a little bit," he said after a rally at Gilley's honky-tonk near downtown.

He rejected the idea that he or Trump shares responsibility for stirring passions.

In the 2016 campaign, Trump routinely called for Clinton to be jailed for purported crimes involving mishandling of classified emails, and he still encourages chants of "Lock her up!" at rallies.

"Let's be clear," Cruz said. "The anger and rage that we've been seeing on the far left is deliberately provoked and stoked by Democratic politicians. When Maxine Waters and Corey Booker tell the mob to go harass, scream, yell, confront people -- that is not productive. When Hillary Clinton, sadly, says that we can be civil after the Democrats have won the election, that's not productive either."

I believe in Stacey Abrams, at least assuming the election has minimal fuckery going on.

But if Kemp does win at least we won't be subjected to that straight out of the 90s in the worst way "made in Georgia" blurb at the end of so many shows and movies anymore.

Elections have consequences? Like billions swirling down the toilet.

Really ahead of the game considering the caravan hasn't even made it a quarter of the way into mexico.

Curious what national guards manage to do with regards to standard mail.

So, here's how useless party ID has been in CA EV these days in OC: GOP has a 18% advantage in return ballots in CA39. But. Siena gave Young Kim a 5% lead in returned ballots. Similarly in CA49, Siena gives Levin an 18% in returned ballots, but GOP has a 12% advantage in returned ballots.

DOJ: Businesses Can Discriminate Against Transgender Workers
The Justice Department today told the U.S. Supreme Court that businesses can discriminate against workers based on their gender identity without violating federal law.

Solicitor General Noel Francisco told the high court that a civil rights law banning sex discrimination on the job doesn't cover transgender bias. That approach already has created a rift within the Trump administration, contradicting the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission's view of the law it's tasked with enforcing.

A Michigan funeral home wants the high court to overturn a U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit decision finding that the company violated federal workplace discrimination law when it fired Aimee Stephens, a transgender worker. The EEOC successfully sued on behalf of Stephens in that case, but the Justice Department has the sole authority to represent the government before the Supreme Court. The DOJ told the high court that the Sixth Circuit got the case wrong.

"The court of appeals misread the statute and this Court's decisions in concluding that Title VII encompasses discrimination on the basis of gender identity," Francisco said in a brief filed with the court.

The Supreme Court is expected to decide in the coming months whether to take up the case. It's also been asked to consider two other cases testing whether sexual orientation bias is a form of sex discrimination banned under the existing law.
This is coming down the pipeline real soon. Rough times ahead.

Not wanting to be outdone by Bruce Rauner when it comes to awful ads, third-party IL-Gov candidate Sam McCann is running this on the air in the Chicago media market.

Umm...

A Republican internal has us leading by 4 in PA-01.

That Siena poll might've been right. Their most recent poll will also have Uh Oh, Curbelo behind.

Definitely feels as though we've entered "bottom starts falling out of incumbents" territory.
