It does require a supermajority to override their veto on budgetary matters, so it's not a totally useless position at least.
This is actually a good outcome. Harris "won" the previous election by cheating. Even if we lose a special election, we're no worse off than we were.
Frankly we'll probably win.
I can see a primary challenge to Trump helping us IF it's only one person behind whom the GOP voters can unite. It won't work as well or send as strong a message if we have Hogan, Romney, Flake, Weld, and Kasich all trying to be principled white daddy saviors and tripping over each other.
He's prayed about it and his sins have been washed away. Why won't you give a Man of God another chance?

People are disappointed he was not thrown in jail, nor has had his bail increased. This gag order for Stone is equal paramount to dying by strangling.
