Omg please elaborate y'all.

Not surprised one bit.
I mean it wasn't anything like "Ah Bernie's done, he's cancelled" but he failed to address the sexual assault part of the question and had to be reminded by Wolf to address it. The answer was fine once he got it out there, but it came with an undercurrent of "I don't really want to be talking about this."

I see this Bernard town hall is going about as well as I expected.

This is a good thing.

Thanks.

I didn't think you were saying that he was done. It's just a big issue for me and it's the major reason why I refuse to vote for Bernard.

It's kinda surreal to step back and see that the same party preaching tough on crime rhetoric 20 years ago is now fielding questions at town halls like "Can you make a simple, persuasive case why socialism is preferable to capitalism?" today.

Bernie is repetitive but I don’t care anymore. People atleast know what he’s about and makes it super clear

We lost a senate race in Florida because people are dumb and can’t be bothered to read. I want everything about 2020 to be straight to the point and idiot proof.

Repetition is the only way to break through to an apathetic public.

NEW: The @BernieSanders campaign says they have now hit the $10 million mark in fundraising. The money comes from more than 359k individual donors.. 39% of which came from new email addresses. First reported by the @NyTimes
Not reported yet-- The Sanders campaign says that they matched voter info with their day one donors and learned that 12,000 of the donors were Republicans.
Can't tell if good, bad, or indifferent.

I don't remember giving my email when registering to vote, so... how would they know a Republican email address from a Democratic one?
There's a whole industry built around building social profiles that link your contact info, social media accounts, and try to analyze who you vote for, what issues you care about, whether you're likely to be motivated by fear or pride, etc -- and selling those to campaigns.

Kyle Griffin @kylegriffin1

The House Judiciary Committee believes it has evidence Trump asked Matt Whitaker, at the time the acting AG, whether Manhattan U.S. attorney Geoffrey Berman could regain control of his office's probe into Michael Cohen and his real-estate biz, WSJ reports.https://www.wsj.com/articles/house-investigators-probe-trump-contact-with-matthew-whitaker-11551144842 …

Kyle Griffin @kylegriffin1

"Any evidence that Mr. Trump sought to intervene in the federal prosecutors' probe could propel further lines of inquiry by lawmakers into whether he has tried to obstruct the investigation into his business dealings."

I'm sure whatever evidence it has has been handed over to the special council

you need to give your name/home address when donating, figure they can match that to voter rolls, no?
Why are Republicans donating to Bernie Sanders?
eh, could be many things but you don't have to currently hold conservative beliefs to be registered as a republican. I was originally registered Republican basically to placate my conservative family, though I've literally never voted that way.
How is the legal maximum 10 years? I thought he was facing 19 to 24?
the two counts he pled to in DC have statutory maximums of 5 years so even though the sentencing guidelines are higher because of the $$ involved the judge there can only give him 10 years. He's facing 19-24 in Virginia.

Yep. Nothing at all suspicious about that response. And yeah - he's had three years to think of a better answer.

This should be a serious red flag to any genuine Bernie supporter and every time I see it waved away - I have to question the legitimacy of their support.

To be honest, his response is fucking bizarre. Did he think that nobody was going to ask about it?

If they're boring, release them. If there's a scandal in there, air it out now. This approach is disastrous and is doing more to hurt him than any number of his other baggage items.

I was already really concerned about this - and this is about as bad and suspicious as he could possibly make it. Even Trump has a better answer and his is a known fabrication.

Can someone explain to me why there's nothing wrong with Sanders' answer and how stutteringly badly he gave it?
