Now that both Sanford and Weld might be challenging Trump I'm feeling he's even weaker than we may suspect.

He is very weak. But still dangerous. Alot of smoke and mirrors, alot of threatened minions and powerful puppeteers out to save their worthless hides by propping him up.

Also, the GOP's calling everything ~~~socialism~~~ has led younger people to erroneously define any government service - universal healthcare, unemployment insurance, etc. - as actual socialism when it's social democracy. People like Sanders using the word in that way has also muddled things a bit, so much so that people get incredibly angry at Pelosi when she correctly says we're capitalists (because they've come to believe that capitalism = "no government services or social welfare programs"). I admit the pedant in me chafes at that.

I had the thought that their reflexive, verbal tic-level usage of SOCIAMALISMIZ in this triage fashion, it gets people who hear "socialism" in a propaganda fashion, they think "Individual-1 is racist".

If Trump could cost Fitzpatrick, Hurd, and Upton reelection, that'd be great.

Brooks is retiring anyway.

Murder them, you manchild! Strike them down to feel the power you deserve to wield! Aahahahahahaha

SC-02 could be a sleeper race to watch in 2020 with an unusually strong Dem outraising Joe Wilson

Hrmmm...Some booming Columbia suburbs but eh, would be great to pressure everywhere. The 3rd is the only one I'd consider a lost cause in the near future. Like with the 5th and the 1st, get a candidate who actually works and some movement is there.

"Went down with Independents" was all I needed to see to show me this is worthwhile.

Among independents, about three out of 10 said they approved of Trump, down from four out of 10 a week ago. His net approval - the percentage who approve minus the percentage who disapprove - dropped by 2 points among Democrats in the poll.

That seems like a pretty massive week-to-week drop.

People rightly criticize Dave Rubin. He's generally a pretty awful guy. But that Marrianne interview is worth checking out. She has quite a few good ideas and rebuttals to libertarian criticisms that I think Dave's conservative audience needs to be exposed to. This is just one below; she also talks about the racial disparities (like actual ones in the law and poverty rates, not the ones Dave Rubin pushes out about brain skulls and IQ), problems with how public schools are funded, etc.

I don't think I can take 16 more months of the GOP being human trash and the Democrats "strongly disapproving" it but otherwise not stopping them.

Wow.kobach said he'd have to think about whether he'd support trump if he came out and said he was a racist.

Cuomo just straight asked him: "If Trump admitted he was a racist, would you still defend him"?

And his answer was "well, it depends on who he's running against".

Holy shit. Kobach is a moron.

I like Marrianne. If Harris and Warren weren't running, she'd probably be my second after Bernie. She's fantastic

I enjoy Marianne and like her around but wouldn't want her to be president. the "this is how we got trump" stuff doesn't resonate with me tho because anti-vaxx and all she'd be way way better than Trump
