Unless I'm misunderstanding what you're saying here, Warren is on record as saying the difference between her and Bernie is that she believes in markets and not socialism.
Warren has won me over. Good policies and has been consistently disciplined even when trailing in the polls. I was afraid she would start getting tangled with Trump on bullshit like the Pocahontas crap.

DC statehood bill has 209 co-sponsors. Both Pelosi and Hoyer have expressed support in the past.
I vacillate on whether DC or PR would be easier to handle first. With PR, we don't have to worry about the whole "federal district" clause in the Constitution, but the turnout in every referendum on the island's status has been abysmal. We need to allow the populace to state its desires clearly - maybe with a heavily promoted, government-sponsored plebiscite. If they know that Congress really means it this time, maybe they'll actually care to vote on the question.
DC, conversely, has loudly and consistently expressed its desire to become a state, so maybe they'll address it first. I imagine it'll be a party-line vote, whereas on PR we might be able to get Rubio, Romney, Murkowski, and maybe a few others. The GOP platform has long contained support for PR statehood, though I know the danger of expecting them to adhere to that plank when actually faced with it.

It's something that would not be surprising coming from my grandparents, and given Biden is as old as them...
It's as if people learned nothing from last election. This is why I've been saying for quite sometime in this US Poli threads to quite cherry picking dumb quotes from Sanders supporters. This is the exact reason why and yet we still engage in trying to make fun of left wing voters. I dont care how much we criticize the candidate but we need to leave supporters out of it. It was well documented last election cycle that a lot of Russians posed as Sanders supporters. In addition to that I can go ahead and start picking through YouTube video comments, Facebook comments, etc. and find stupid comments made by a supporter of any candidate. The most obnoxious thing is that the poster posted that two post below a poll that stated Sanders fans were the biggest supporters of Warren and were migrating to her.

While I like many of Warren's policies, I think the scope and number of them will likely scare off a lot of voters in the general.

Giving me flashbacks to Romney's 2012 campaign where his campaign kept firing pollsters until they found one that would cook the results for them until they had him winning Minnesota and shit. They were legitimately gobsmacked they lost because they were only paying people to say what they wanted to hear.
Obama's team to their credit started skewing their internal polls in the other direction (docking two points from Obama) because they thought the numbers were looking too good for them.
IIRC Clinton's team saw trouble in MI/PA/WI in the last weekend, but by that point it was too late to shift gears in the campaign strategy. Comey letter fucked us so hard.

Ah! Sure. But yeah, early signs seem to be he's not going in the right direction. In 2016 he was the only progressive choice. Warren is Bernie without the baggage, IMO.

Warren has always had a more aggressive view of the government's role in capitalism than me, but still the same philosophy. The job of government is to fill a role that the market naturally wouldn't, mainly one that doesn't have immediate profits/returns.

IIRC, it obviously hurt her favorability right after the whole thing across the polling, so I don't think that's true.
