Someone a few pages back said Richardson for SoS. Really? Has the sex ring charges with Epstein faded that fast from memory? Dude should be in prison if true, which it seems that it is, not leading foreign policy.

@jaketapper

Denied quid pro quo with Ukraine.
Then admitted it.
Then denied it.
And they're now selling shirts.

Is the impeachment going to suck up all of the airtime through the holidays? So we're not going to see much shifts in polling until January, short of a megaton dropping?

that's an argument in favor of her being a closeted right winger (which she is), not a Russian asset
Transitive properties apply when you're an Assad toadie/apologist and Assad's biggest backer is....Russia. Russian botnets have activated for her and Bannon's a huge fan.

It's the same reason Max Blumenthal/Dan Cohen/etc and all those RT trash people are all getting paid to go hang out in Syria as well.
Did Trump appoint the current director?
Yes.

he's not at breitbart. they run articles quoting his pieces. think he still wants to maintain a veneer of being on the left.

re: CFPB

So this is going to be a fun case. SCOTUS just took up the CFPB lawsuit challenging the constitutionality of the provision that says the director can't be fired by the president except for cause, and they added a question on whether the statute establishing the CFBP can be severed from the rest of the Dodd-Frank act.

yes. The former director was Cordray and he resigned to lose Ohio's governor race.

If it gets struck down, pass the bill again, but just say the president can dismiss the director. Seems like it'd be an "easy" fix at least, although only if Democrats won the trifecta.

After hearing Mulvaney's comments, I now believe that
@realDonaldTrump
should be impeached by the US House and face a trial in the US Senate. This is not a decision I've made lightly, but it's clear now that a line was crossed. This is an abuse of power. Action must be taken.

Not really surprising but Kasich now supports impeachment.

There are a shit ton of Russian assets in the GOP are you kidding me?

Google which senators spent july 4th in Russia and ask yourself why that is.

Look at how the NRA was exposed as a front to funnel russian money directly to GOP politicians and ask yourself why THAT was.

Gabbard is exactly more of the same thing, only being used to attack democrats from the left as Stein was.

that trump shirt is likely to inspire violence. If i was a cop and i got a call over the radio about an assault and it turned out that some random person gut punched a loudmouthed trump person wearing that "get over it" shirt. I'd 100 percent for sure be arresting the person with the shirt for inciting violence.

I just don't buy that Ernst is as disliked as Morning Consult suggests.

I've been listening to the Farm Report are and there and I completely believe it. It is hard to overstate just how much of a bad time agriculture is going through right now. Between the weather this year and the trade war, farmers are getting squeezed. Every week the dudes on the Farm Report get more and more noticably frustrated and desperate. They feel abandoned.

The law that established the CFPB says that the President may not remove the director except for "inefficiency, neglect of duty, or malfeasance in office."

But critics -- including the Trump administration, the current director of the agency, Kathleen Kraninger, as well as a law firm fighting a CFPB-led investigation -- argue in court briefs that a restriction on the President's authority to remove the director at will-- if they disagree on policy, for example -- "violates the Constitution's separation of powers."
Oh, thats why.

Barr retroactively classifies emails to punish Clinton for perceived slights against the dumbass. There is no bottom.

If i was a state dept employee and i got called into the office of pompeo or another supervisor and was told was either A. fired or B. being disciplined for something that was retroactively changed so that i was found guilty of somethingthat wasnt originally illegal. I'd calmly go walk into the office breakroom, cook me up som mac N' cheese, calmly walk back into the office i was being disciplined in then take a BIG bite of the cheesy mac, lean in within kissing distance of the supervisor and start obnoxiously laughing the mac n cheese all over their stupid smug face.

edit: changed one instance of the word guilty to illegal*

And to think you once wrote a post accusing someone else of having brain damage.

Oh excuse me for pointing out the ridiculousness of state department employees being punished for something that was retroactively changed. I'm not goingto derail this valid discussion by turning this into trolling, especially against other users that had their posts later vindicated. Good day
It is not exactly true and was incorrectly spun.
Did you just go back and edit your post from October 7 to erase the fact that you accused someone of having brain damage because of her husband beating her? LMAO.

Being petty and lingering in a past discussion that has already been addressed, with some ditails which were later vindicated is really not a productive form of discussion. We should be focusing on current political matters.

It is a real tragedy to see state department workers bullied by Pompeo (this is documented) and an even bigger tragedy to see rules can be changed after the fact to penalize people for things they should not be penalized.

The hyperbole expressed in laughing in someones face over such a ridiculous situation is pretty understandable for any state dept official that has been victimized.

They don't feel abandoned by Trump. They'll still vote for him, despite themselves suddenly becoming new fans of socialism.

For posterity:
Is it just my imagination or does trish regan on fox news talk like she has brain damage. Perhaps she is a victim of physical spousal abuse that caused such great brain damage. Investigate her husband?
Had it open in another tab.

Automation is a long-term structural workforce problem that you can address with smaller but continuous investments over time.

Warren is right to kind of shrug it off and hammer regulation and trade, where policy can adapt to rapid change and be targeted to deal with specific sectors of the economy affected by displacement by any factors.
