Labeling her progressive.
In case then yes I'd agree. But by that measure stick we could also slap Tulsi (*urk*) with the progressive label. Hell I'd tag Ed Marckey since its all relative based on what the centrist democrat is. (And right now its looking pretty yikes over on Impeachment).
I don't...which is why I said they have Bernie. In case then yes I'd agree. But by that measure stick we could also slap Tulsi (*urk*) with the progressive label. Turns out there's a rainbow of people you consider progressives and I'd implore you do more than a quick look to understand what they want out of a candidate. For someone who's posted very often in the socialism OT I'm kind of surprised you'd think the DSA types would be so quick to hop on board with Warren.
July 16th is the last day of the convention but uuuuh. Who knows lol.
People are dumb and need to be spoon fed information. Warren polled the best after she was repeatedly dunking on Delaney at that debate saying "why would anyone want to run for president just to say what we can't do!"Reminder that Warren is so fucking progressive that Bernie actually wanted her to run in 2016.
She's your favorite candidates favorite candidate.

She's definitely a member of the progressive caucus. Now if you want to argue that she has lately, especially in the last two years, been a bit two faced about how she's gone about things I would agree. I wouldn't remotely trust her and if I were in her district would probably be campaigning to get her primaried.
She literally went on Fox News and yelled about Obama not using the words "radical islamic extremism" while he was president. Super progressive that one. She's definitely a member of the progressive caucus. These are not mutually exclusive ideas. I honestly believe that the Republicans today are authoritarian monarchist/totalitarianists. In the history of democratic governments, there is a history of legislative bodies voting to dissolve themselves because they want to turn power over to a despot that they have built a cult of personality around.I don't think they want a king. They just want to win. Nothing else matters but winning. They are not even trying to win so that they can achieve some policy goal! They just want to win so they can keep winning.
The whole thing is so incredibly nihilistic. There's no greater vision or purpose to their effort. No plan to lead. Just win.
Also in a cult, and said as recently as 2016 that her homophobic views haven't changed, but only that she doesn't think the government should enforce them...She literally went on Fox News and yelled about Obama not using the world "radical islamic extremism" while he was president. Super progressive that one.

Today was that scary to me.
The weirdest things is that shit doesn't show up in her votes. In the 113th and 116th she's voted more often with the party line than not. (And in the 116th a third of them are her impeachment present votes which is yiiiiiiiiiikes). She literally went on Fox News and yelled about Obama not using the world "radical islamic extremism" while he was president. Seems like a pretty obvious answer. It feels weird that Obama doesn't just pick whoever he wants to be the nominee.
If he endorsed someone, they would definitely win but he... isn't.
I mean, it's fine that he's not endorsing anyone, but it feels weird that he's a politician with a massive amount of power choosing to use none of it?
If you believe strongly in the process, you should bite your tongue if you have that much power. Obama seemingly believes in the process and the country. It feels weird that Obama doesn't just pick whoever he wants to be the nominee.

She's always been on that sideThe weirdest things is that shit doesn't show up in her votes. In the 113th and 116th she's voted more often with the party line than not. (And in the 116th a third of them are her impeachment present votes which is yiiiiiiiiiikes).
I imagine she's got a future in OANN or Fox News after this though. She's definitely pivoted towards that side and has pissed off most progressive shows I care to listen to.
The French 3rd Republic's legislature happily dissolved the republic and inserted an 84 year old Philippe Petain to explicitly be a dictator with absolute authority. Age is just a number when the cult of personality exists. This is usually historically done around young, strong figures. Not an obese, old man suffering from dementia.

Well that's all good and all, but I wanted Cory Booker to win the primary and he might have if Obama had endorsed him!
Of course, Obama probably wouldn't have endorsed Booker...
When Carter endorsed BernieQuiz: When was the last time a former President endorsed a candidate during a primary?
I believe you mean "first day of the Milwaukee riots."July 16th is the last day of the convention but uuuuh. Who knows lol.

Quiz: When was the last time a former President endorsed a candidate during a primary?
Addendum.
When did a relevant former President, without obvious connections to a spouse or child, publicly endorse a candidate during a primary?
He didn't formally endorse until after the primaries ended.
Her schtick seems to really work with middle class+ and educated voters, but peters off after that.
Fuck. I'd like to request a self ban for time to work on my pun game. This could have been a great Mayor Pete pun if you leaned into it.
It's a perception game. I'm not gonna argue who is and isn't outsider because I don't think I'd convince you. But people sure believe it (probably because there's a lot of truth to it).I think it's crazy that mister 30 years in Congress somehow has a more "outsider" cred than someone who's only been in government for 8 years
Lol, I love this one
What is so attractive about an outsider that is actually just an ineffective insider? It's a perception game. I'm not gonna argue who is and isn't outsider because I don't think I'd convince you. But people sure believe it (probably because there's a lot of truth to it).
People don't see him as an ineffective insider, and a lot of people really really hate congress, the federal government, and DC as a whole due to corruption and their inability to get things done. An outsider appeals to those peopleWhat is so attractive about an outsider that is actually just an ineffective insider?
