Sexual assault incidents often happen in private, between two people, with no witnesses. The point of an investigation is to turn up corroborating evidence by way of other accusers/incidents, evidence of victims confiding in others about it (e.g. Christine Blasey Ford telling her therapist, who had contemporaneous notes for this), other material evidence, and so on.
Which again is not to say that if an investigation doesn't turn up any of these things automatically means the initial allegation is false. But the value of investigating sexual assault claims is to potentially turn up other corroborating evidence for the accusation or entirely other accusations about the same person. As we've seen with Moore, Franken, Kavanaugh, Trump, etc.
yeah, she is plainly not comfortable talking about healthcare or the economy, which is unfortunate because those happen to be the two issues voters care about most!
We had wall to wall coverage anytime Hillary did anything ever and Biden gets accused of rape and radio silence from the press.
Sure but one of the reasons I believe Reade is, as you imply, this isn't the first time she's talked about this issue; her family says she confided in them not long after it happened. It's also not the first accusation of Biden behaving inappropriately among female staff. He has a pattern of behavior of not keeping his hands to himself. Everything she said in her interview strikes me as consistent with how Biden comports himself.
Still, I too am waiting to see how many more accusers will come forth after this.

Just today it was announced that over 3 million people have lost their jobs in the last couple of weeks. Thousands of people are being found with the coronavirus every day. The House still has to pass at $2 trillion dollar stimulus package to help get us past this. The news is saturated now. It will definitely come up later in the campaign, which is why Biden needs to respond now.

everyone knows the old ass phrase "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" and I feel like busters are increasingly calling moderate democrats their enemy to the point in which they might start seeing republicans as their friends.
Like, do y'all socialists (I know bernie doesn't call himself one, but so many of his supporters do) think your agenda is better progressed under Biden/Buttigieg/Clinton/Klobuchar or Trump/Romney/Ryan?
We're in a democracy and if your group is only like 20 percent of the voters, then fucking start acting like it, humble yourself and enact better strategy than "burn it down"

I'm actually not clear on this, because I think some people were conflating the Lucy Flores accusation with this which was confusing me. Had Reade made an earlier separation allegation about Biden, and this is a second incident? Or is it the same allegation being surfaced twice?
Right, but Biden raping someone is I think quite a bit more than being too touchy with women. I don't think that touching a woman's shoulders or neck necessarily comports with that person being a rapist to
And just to be clear, I think Reade's allegation should be believed, heard, and taken seriously. But also further investigated for all the reasons I mentioned in my last post.

Apparently went to multiple campaigns as well over the course of primary, including Warren and Yang, and nothing came of it from there either.
I still find it hard to believe that Warren's campaign would not move on a rape allegation.

She then says she was fired from her job. Newspapers reached out and she didn't follow up. She then decided to tell the entire story and reached out to campaigns but didn't get anywhere. Then was told by TimesUp that they won't investigate out of fear of Biden.
The Intercept reported on TimesUp not following up with her new allegation. Then Krystal Ball interviewed her.
There's a lot to investigate so I'm not surprised nobody has reported it yet. TimesUp needs to be investigated as well if true.
But "burning it down" is the only way they'll get in power while maintaining their holier-than-thou image.

That's very likely. Don't forget he had trouble with standard briefings, and that led to simplified versions.
