So when this game comes out and sells a million copies, will everyone see it on the top sellers list? I hope so, for the outrage.

All these discussions about how old is character in that game is an off topic. Thread was about 18+ games on steam not about anime characters. But as always all threads are derailed to what era users like the most - anime lewds.

Good. If mainstream games are going to keep pushing sexual content to the margins then i'm glad adult title developers are stepping into keep it front and center. Give me your thirst, devs.

To anyone saying they look like kids:

Here's Marge Simpson as a child
BsMZGRqCAAA_4uc.jpg

Notice how she looks exactly the same as her middle aged counterpart because it's impossible to extrapolate age from a minimalistic art style... Like the anime in question!

If they're supposed to be older than 18, that's what they are. They're fucking cartoons, you're not going to see the slight skin weathering or subtle bone structure changes that make the difference between a 15 year old and a 20 year old in real life.

Not for me but hey if thats your thing you do you. Just make it opt in to even see the games and let it be.

Female anime characters either look like 6 year olds or 25 year olds. There's almost no grey area. It's so super obvious when a game/show is trying to appeal to actual, legitimate pedophiles (see: Tiki in Fire Emblem) that starting a panic over generic anime characters in schoolgirl outfits feels silly in comparison.

You can have a debate over the sexualization of teens (in all sorts of contexts, in Western and Eastern media) but let's not devalue the stamp of "pedo game" when there are actual games being made to appeal to people who want to have sex with children.

I agree with this. It's ridiculous that ultra violent content seems to get a free pass but god forbid you show tits.

Many people aren't prudes and will be fine with you or others using games to get your socks off.

The more pressing question is at what age do you like seeing your tits? Many games are purposefully either going underage or portraying characters that barely look 14.

If you can blow people's heads clean off their shoulders in video games and no one bats an eye then I'm fine with blowing other things in video games. Anime shenanigans does nothing for me but I'll opt in and have a look.

Meh Anime - Hoped for something different when i clicked on the thread.

I still remember to this day a game i played on the Playstation 1 with real people in it where you had to select the Sex toys and how the "story" is progressing and so on.
Sadly i never found out the name because a friend got it from a friend and so on and apparently he downloaded it with a random name on it.

Thank You Steam. And to people making a fuss: The setting is turned off to see those games for everyone and have to be activated first to even see these adults only games. And those settings ARE BURRIED inside the steam menus where most people won't even see them.

Nobody is forcing anybody to see these games or buy them, let people who want to, have the choice.

Well I say many because looking around even in my own class, there are tons of people who look very young and they're probably the majority. It might not be the case everywhere though, but it's still something to consider. And when we look at anime drawings, it becomes even harder because of the simplicity of lines and features. And then when you get to porn, you don't even get to see them clothed either sometimes, so that's another added layer of difficulty.

I just feel that if people look at those designs and think "they look like minors in high school" is because that's how female anime high schoolers are designed, so is normal that people thinks that and the paralelisms with real life aren't really useful. Another question would be, does men have the same problem? Adults looking like high school kids in anime? Because I feel that's not the case or at least is not that common. But I don't feel like doing any research on it and so I will left the question in the air.

My takeaway from this thread: A lot of people here wouldn't realize I'm legal. About the actual topic: Why not? Steam sure as hell isn't going to host anything illegal and you're opted out by default so those games aren't going to interfere with either you or me so why are you against them being up on steam?

No surprise that the first "porno game" on Steam is an anime porno

They're definitely catering to a pedophile audience with this - I don't care how some of you are trying to justify that "they're over 18 but just in high school". This is pedophilia at its finest and absolutely disgusting that Valve is allowing this on their store

If you don't look like an old woman from a Ghibli movie, you're not legal.

Those pics got a laugh out of me. These kinds of games always have anime artstyle for some reason.

Good. Sex workers and artists are valid as fuck and I'll never understand the hypocritical attitude that leads to censorship of said content when disgusting ultra violent stuff is easily available and often encouraged within the industry.

And of course news of what is obviously a good thing ends up derailing because some people can't really accept that heavily stylized characters that don't incredibly blatantly look 'adult' aren't automatically underage by default. I'm not cool with underage porn either, but good grief.

It's pretty expected that the first game would be something like this. But since Valve has opened up the biggest PC storefront (and arguably one of the biggest gaming storefronts period) to adult content, I really hope that also means more variety of adult content. You'd be surprised what sorts of things can be possible with sexual content in games.

I guess for males it's easier because if you want to make them look older you can just slap some facial hair on them, but yeah it depends

This game and several of the studio's other titles were already on Steam. Buyers who wanted to see the more graphic content had to download the patch from the studio's website. Valve is just removing a step for the consumer.
I wonder how the censored and explicit versions will coexist though. Some people would want the censored version, and the publisher would want to keep it available so customers who don't have explicit games enabled can find it. Could they link to/reference the porn version in the store page of non-explicit one?

I hope they give you a option, would be awkward to play it uncensored...

News of obviously a good thing? What?

The first game is a pedophile baiting anime

"Heavily stylized" yeah they're purposely depicting them to represent underage females - what's so hard to understand?

The game is about anime characters of questionable age naked in a porn game. This is not a derail. Avatar quote and all that.

And yes, anime lewds are the best. So good. How good are the lewds depends on the immaculate rating system of exhentai. Its foolproof.

Once upon a time in a far off land there was a guy who we will call 0mirAx that used to say if you liked anime then you were a pedophile.

"No, 0mirAx. You are the demons."

And then 0mirAx was a zombie. In prison.

LMAO

This was kickstarted??

What's so special about this game that there had to be a kickstarter?

That's how they fund all of their games. VNs are probably pretty cheap to make, and the audience for these kinds of games is pretty big.

Three of the characters aren't even in highschool.

If you think those girls look under 18, fine. If you wanna use the pedophile thing, then you're trying to tell me, those girls are depicted as 13 or younger?

This is a huge deal for eroge makers. I hope we'll see some high quality games in the future, now that they could prove to be quite profitable.

Also why do people call that Negligee game pedophilia? Wtf.

So you're saying you're only a pedophile if they're depicted as 13 or younger? Is that where we're going with this argument?

Oh, for pete's sake, that's incredibly debatable at best and you know it.

And when I say "obviously good thing", I mean the first adults-only game on Steam being approved for sale.

No one who isn't a pedo actually cares about the distinction between pedophile and ephebophile. Hope this helps.

Don't fuck kids and don't think about fucking kids.

Good news though a bit odd since I seem to recall they were on a censoring rampage or something recently.
