I played through System Shock 2 and Unreal on a real, of-the-time Windows 98 computer with a Pentium 3 and a Voodoo 3 inside using the Steam Controller prototypes. Those things would work on anything.

I bought one on day one and used it for about 20 minutes before I decided it was one of the worst controllers I'd ever used. I just dug it out of a box in the garage to give it to my sister, and apparently she's not a fan either.

Ordered 2 in separate orders on the 26th and 27th. They're both still in processing via site and app. Hope at least one goes through.
EDIT: Ok, the iPad app and the phone app are different apparently. Just checked on my phone and it says shipping soon.

So you barely used it, and didn't bother to check back in after all the major software updates? Cool.
My controller is packed in a plastic box in my closet. Does it work with something else other than a PC? I've stopped gaming on PC about two years ago.
I don't know what I'd do if anything happened to my Steam controller and there wasn't a new revision available.
Ordered the 26th and mine shipped today.
It seems to me like Valve took more orders than they could actually satisfy, wich is a shame. Everyone should be able to try this controller

Mine apparently shipped with a tracking number that says ill get it on monday. Never received a shipping email though.

Ordered one on the 26th, it's on track to reach me Monday. Didn't get a case though. Didn't like how Valve left whether the discontinuation meant a new version or not unanswered, but I gave in to fear and bought one in case my first breaks down. Hoping everybody gets theirs, and that the Steam Controller can live on with a new version. Love the little thing!

Disappointed that it was declared over for Steam Controller, the original at least. I use it all the time, and just thinking that it is done makes me sad in a "have to put Old Yeller down" kind of way. I will be the one of the happiest gamers if a new Steam Controller is announced.

I bought 5 on the 26th and they all just arrived. The first one lasted 4 years until the RB gave out, at this rate I'm covered for the next couple decades.

When those decades are up and you need to start repairing them, here's a fix for the shoulder button I'm currently using now myself. Metal last longer than a thin piece of bending plastic.
I got mine today but I also pray to my life-sized statue of Gaben twice a day so that might have something to do with it
Got my 2nd one in today. My first one had an issue ejecting one of the batteries. Was forced to use something to pry them out whenever they needed changing. Thankfully, this one works perfectly. The edges also feel smoother, the original one I had was a bit rough on the edges. It's been a while since I used mine, fired up the classic Half-Life games and it still feels 2nd nature to me. Controls a metric ton better than your typical twin analog controller. However unlikely that it might be, I hope Valve makes a revision someday, easily my favorite controller.
Mine's still processing. Gonna hollow out my expectations and say it'll probably be canceled. Bummer.
Aw! Nice! I will never understand why they changed the design, curvature and (I think) material of the track pads. I love the controller, but I really wish they would've kept the concentric circles design, and kept the left one the same as the right. I don't care for the + shape on the left pad on the final controller. I also really liked the design of other early version with the small screen in the center.
I'll always love these things.
I'm very sad. This was the first time in the Steam Controller's lifespan that I was able to afford it, and my order got canceled.
I've had a getting ready to ship email from them yesterday.

Also ordered on the 26th and I got fedex tracking the next day with delivery scheduled for Monday
