Just read bits of Akiva's Bar Council complaint, and a twitter post of mine was included. Never would I have expected to be involved, however tangentially, in an ethics complaint in a state and country I've never been to

Misread the tweet at first and thought the "lie" was some new information, then realized that he's just denying shit that we literally have video evidence of.
I wonder. Vic's manipulative in that he seeks out positions of power and knows how to present himself well, but I don't think he's a puppetmaster, he's just a guy with no morals whatsoever who has learned through experience that acting certain ways gets him the rewards he wants. Look at his deposition, or the descriptions of him descending into diva-ish behaviour and temper tantrums when his demands aren't met, or his habit of letting his comments on consent slip out.
It's fair to say that laying low is probably the best course of action for protecting your reputation if you're in Vic's situation - short of, you know, actually caring that you did something wrong and trying to show your remorse in a tangible way. But is Vic the sort of guy who would choose the best course of action?

His ex pretty much explained his MO.
He has his fanclub of underage girls, which he greatly encourages. He sends private messages to the girls and grooms them, and when he travels to different cities for his conventions he meets up with his fanclub members 1-on-1 behind closed doors, where he continues to groom them, and when the conditions are right enough he has "consensual" sex with them (which is actually statutory rape). And he has dozens/hundreds of victims.
Which is why he got so pissed off that his convention appearances were getting cancelled, because people were getting between him and that sweet underage pussy.

These things take time. Originally the hearing was meant to be this week, and we would have heard about whether the dismissals were passed or not in the next 4 or so weeks but that whole deadline has been pushed back 3 weeks.
Even if the dismissals get passed though Mignogna's lawyer can (and probably will) still appeal the decision so there's a good chance this nonsense will continue well into next year.
The harder his case crashes, the more they can try to justify themselves as victims. Maybe this is intentional
I'm sure there's no way Beard or Rekieta want them to even with them being as stupid as they are, but they have no actual control over Kiwifarms, they were just poking the hornet's nest. So maybe it's gone out of their control.
It could be an unintended consequences of encouraging their followers to view anything that doesn't go their way in this case as some enemy acting against them; the judge isn't acting how they want and becomes a target too. Or it could be people getting bored and just wanting someone new to target since nothing all that interesting seems to be coming out of Greg.

Clearly the question to everything the plaintiff's side does is "can they possibly be this stupid" and the answer to that question is always "holy fuck yes they can"
Maybe I'm wrong because I don't want to investigate, but my understanding is tat they're not an ideological community like Stormfront, /pol/, the_donald or what have you. It was formed entirely to track and harass an autistic guy for kicks and is still mostly focused on that kind of thing, they just have more targets now. So it may be more in line with the likes of 4chan's /b/ where it's too nihilistic to form real allegiances with anyone.

Well, it's perhaps too big a topic for this thread, but I think that's moreso how fascism is designed. Bullying is generally about the strong attacking the weak - and therefore people who do fit in attacking those that don't - because that's easier and it lets the bully gain some sort of favour in the in-group themselves. Fascism seeks above all else to keep itself in power forever, and sees encouraging this sort of behaviour as a way to keep the people in check because you don't have to care about running your society in any sort of functional manner so long as you can say "well, it's their fault, go after them".
If you want to have an organization for bullying powerful people, you've got to start an NGO or some shit. Probably not as easy, probably not as fun if you're just in to be an asshole.
