Following up the pisspoor Death Stranding video by phoning this one in. At least the COD one was great.
I'm guessing he just doesn't really like Pokemon in general, but i feel like if that's the case he'd honestly be better off just not making videos about it because this was really fucking bad. I get that youtubers like to post videos about the current big games for the sake of appeasing the almighty algortithms, but this just felt lazy and uninspired as far as his videos go
His schtick finally ran out of steam. He seems like a smart guy so I hope he reworks the format because from interviews not in character I really like him.
This video is just as bad as any other review he does. It's just a matter if it fits your agenda or not.
Nah that Death Stranding video was great. Ya'll gotta stop saying people not funny anymore when you don't agree with them. As for this video seams like he didn't have much to say, so that weakens the video.

I'm very disappointed with SWSH, but the video is very mediocre.
aside from this one not being one of his actual reviews, my issue is that 90% of the video leans on like, two core jokes, neither of which is particularly funny or inspired. Yes Pokemon is easy. Yes this the games would absolutely be way better if the campaign wasn't so braindead. But it's not really new, not really insightful, and not really handled in a particularly clever manner in this video. Honestly I'll repeat that it feels like a video being made to reach a quota, not one that he really wanted to make. It's not even just that he doesn't like the game, it's that it feels like he's completely indifferent to it and that indifference shines through as a viewer

I never said this one is a review video, I just compared it to his review videos which are equally as bad imo. And the difficulty complains he makes in this video don't even make sense since he pretty much uses footage from the water gym to make his point and the game's first half at least has a nice difficulty curve.

Typically his reviews have (dunkview) in the name. Non-dunkview videos like this aren't meant to be a critical assessment of a game, just stuff he found funny/ ridiculous/ whatever.
The animations have been talked about a ton too. Yes, it's funny that some attacks don't line up with their names at all, but I've seen that pointed out by just about every review of the game I've watched.
To be fair I wouldn't be surprised at all if he hasn't kept up on other reviews of the game and isn't aware just how played out some of these observations are, but yeah, definitely not one of his more memorable videos.
i like his videos but this one peaked at the double kick and headbutt part. The rest was the same joke over and over again.

I think the issue is that way too much of the video leans entirely on one joke that isn't particularly funny and the jokes were kind of predictable too. Like the it was obvious with the "gotta get that" bit that it was leading up to a Pokemon he didn't like, and the bit with the dynamax mon actually surviving one hit only to do shit damage was also predictable. There are a few decent jokes, but very few are even remotely clever in concept or execution this time around. It just reeks of indifference compared to many of his other videos
