Jared Kushner sat on a wall
Jared Kushner had a great fall
All Trump's horses

This is unsurprising for someone that has travelled the globe kissing every ass he could to fund a $10b building. Of course he's going to follow the scent of money

It's almost as if the majority of this administration has conflicting outside interests and have no business being in the Whitehouse.

Someone take Trump's clearance away while we're at it.

Copied from the other thread:

These are the kind of scenarios that vetting and background screens are designed to avoid, and he's been walking headfirst into them for 15 months. JfC

H.R. McMaster, President Trump's national security adviser, learned that Kushner had contacts with foreign officials that he did not coordinate through the National Security Council or officially report. The issue of foreign officials talking about their meetings with Kushner and their perception of his vulnerabilities was a subject raised in McMaster's daily intelligence briefings, according to the current and former officials, who spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss sensitive matters.

Guy who requests the most secure documents of anyone in the building is regularly scheduling off-the-record meetings with foreign governments. How did it come to this?

Officials in the White House were concerned that Kushner was "naive and being tricked" in conversations with foreign officials, some of whom said they wanted to deal only with Kushner directly and not more experienced personnel, said one former White House official.

You know when the other shoe drops, at least half of those implicated will claim stupidity.

I mean...the claim here is ignorance. But don't you kind of have to go out of your way, with the help of many, to avoid security clearance for these WH positions that usually demand it?

To me it seems like the whole point of not getting proper clearance was to continue to do this kind of stuff

UAE, China, Israel, and Mexico.

Throw the opening quote into the OP:

Officials in at least four countries have privately discussed ways they can manipulate Jared Kushner, the president's son-in-law and senior adviser, by taking advantage of his complex business arrangements, financial difficulties and lack of foreign policy experience, according to current and former U.S. officials familiar with intelligence reports on the matter.

Among those nations discussing ways to influence Kushner to their advantage were the United Arab Emirates, China, Israel and Mexico, the current and former officials said.

Sounds like a perfect example of not understanding the appearance of corruption.

A lot of beurocracy for these foreign dealings is to ensure its all recorded and its clear its on an official and not personal basis. Trumps team came in thinking they had new ideas, they just had old ones that went extinct.

Anyway makes sense hed lose access. Would be strange if only foreign governments realised this.

  • Access to highly classified information and intel for over a year.
  • Has call sheet of foreigners and foreign officials that had McMasters shook.
  • Fears of Kush getting manipulated.

What could have gone wrong?

It's good thing Trump supporters love Nepotism, and hate having a secure country that isn't compromised by corrupt business practices, otherwise this might be upsetting to them. Fortunately, they want a weak American government that's bought out by other countries, so they should be very pleased with this news. I mean, they DO want this stuff, right? Otherwise why would they keep supporting it?

He can't get a proper clearance. Staying on an interim clearance wasn't a strategy but a necessity. It doesn't have any benefits.

at least four. There are almost certainly more that haven't leaked.

Thomas Jefferson: "I've made a huge mistake."

Remember when there was a huge amount of concern (not all of it partisan) over the fact that Obama's Secretary of State ran a private email server? Here's a guy who hadn't even passed a security clearance asking for the deepest secrets of the state and making unauthorized, unmonitored contacts with foreign agents with no briefing or debriefing.

It's not a good look. On the bright side, Kushner isn't likely to ever run for the Democratic Party's nomination.

You have to be able to tell who your allies are, who is trying to HELP, etc. McMaster flagged this like any decent official would: because not only is it odd, it's potentially a time bomb that will blow up on the president. And yet Trump has been trying to antagonize and threaten McMasters for months.

Kushner is fucked. He already got popped for essentially selling visas to Chinese nationals. He almost certainly sold or attempted to sell govt secrets or access to the Chinese government.

Racism. And because their Fox News masters decreed that they support it.

I mean, literally nothing about the Republican party looks "good" at this point. Every platform they hold, they're willing to tear down, twist, or contort, just to maintain power and control of the United States. Each passing week shows they have less regard for Democracy, and more care for complete control. It's gross.

Serious question: is there anyone in this administration who is not greedy or compromised?
ben carson?

The very little I know about him (other than being a doctor) is that he isn't a good person. That being said, I don't think he's a traitor. I could definitely be wrong though.

The real money would be in infiltrating Fox & Friends production. You could give the President of the United States marching orders right over the airwaves.

With the way this is escalating, they may not even have to offer to keep him out of jail. If he's looking at a shitload of espionage charges, they could just offer to take the death penalty off the table.

And let's not forget, Kusher requests more intel than any other White House staffer.

Any competent intelligence service, allied or not, would cultivate someone with this much access and so many vulnerabilities for sourcing or agency. It's what the screening process is designed to prevent.

You could tell by just looking at him. He's weak. An easy mark and when the time comes, it won't take much at all to break him.

Clearly foreign officials and other entities would never ever ever try to manipulate Trump by using his business dealings as well. Cause he has no conflicts of interests here. Nope. None at all.
