The folks who cared about Hillary's emails won't care about this because they never sincerely cared about Hillary's emails in the first place.

Not a big deal. But it'll show the brazen hypocrisy of Republicans and so-called moderates who went after Hillary for it, lmao

"LOCK HER UP" lmao

Any public official who uses private emails to perform their job duties should be sanctioned/fired.

Disqualifying and corrupt. You work for the people.

We need codified laws to stop this stupidity. Ivanka is not qualified to do anything in our government and there is zero mandate from the public.
No, we don't. None of this would've been a problem if people took elections seriously. It wasn't a problem in over two centuries because as stupid as people are, and as terrible as some Presidents have been, our ancestors never elected a gorram clown.

Nah. Nepotism and patronage jobs have been a problem forever.

Robert Kennedy was a nepotistic hire as a means of building his political career. Hillary Clinton's function as First Lady was nepotism and helped build her political career.

Trump is trying to do the same thing with Ivanka. She can claim experience without having to win an election or be chosen by the people.

The problem isn't nepotism, if a fitting President decides to have family on staff, as JFK did with his brother as AG, that should be fine. The President is meant to be powerful, additional limitations of their powers to compensate for a single moronic electee is a bad decision.

Edit: The First Lady is an absurd comparison. They're the President's spouse, it's not a job that exists that just always happens to get landed by the President's wife every time. And Hilary was always an active political figure.

The President has had too much power since the A-Bomb and FDR. I don't think there are enough checks on Presidential power.

Nepotism and patronage appointments are bad.

You can't drop an A bomb without declaring war, Congress decalres war, not the President.

The whole Enail thing was overblown but why can't these people just use the Enail account they are given for their work (like millions of people do)?

I mean, at least the Trump supporters could just recycle the memes of the 2016 election wrt Hillary's email.

This is how it should work, but it does not anymore. Presidents haven't had to declare war via Congress since WWII.

Vietnam was never confirmed. Iraq was never confirmed.

The President decides on the Atomic Bomb because of how quickly it can happen. The rationale is there is no time to vote and Presidents in practice have utilized this power to commandeer all foreign policy decisions. Congress has been happy to concede this important power to declare war as a means of avoiding votes on unpopular wars.

Why do we even care about Ivanka doing it when we know for a fact Trump has been doing it since his presidency started? How many articles have we had where he's ignored all of his staff telling him to use the secure phones and instead using his old iphone because he can't figure out how contacts work.

Because there is a timeline where she runs for President in the future.

You also don't get a pass because no one follows important FOIA rules.

Sure, it's all been pretty obvious from the outset, especially with Trump and his phone. At this point all that can be really done is point out the hypocrisy via the media, even though it sure as shit won't move the needle with his base.

Please tell me some democrats are taking notes. I'm going to be so frustrated if every Trump blunder isn't smashed into his face in the 2020 race.
