I don't really see this as a hurdle, India has it's equivalent of Amazon for example. Besides, I think you're underestimating how many people in India understand English (which is maybe why there hasn't been a need for local substitutes to many international websites).

Yeah some people are way too absolute about this. He has made mistakes, several of them, but I don't think he's actually outright racist. Just a bad role model for children in that he's desensitized to a lot of questionable stuff, and may be passing it on to kids who don't know better than to take after him in being lax about such things; "it must be okay because he's so popular".
His best friend Shapiro likes to use the term race hustler a lot, and I think it describes pewdiepie quite well. He may not be explicitly racist but that doesn't absolve him of anything. He enables neo-nazis and actively profits off them.
