Just started reading Solar War book one and its hype. It's good that you don't have to read the 30+ heresy books to understand what's going on.

Previously revealed minis from Series 3:

Can you use these minis as part of your army or are they purely collectibles?

I've ordered the Sister. Hello darkness my old friend...

One day I'll post the contents of my cabinet (when I've found my superglue- two of my Penitent Engines appear to have drunk a little too much of the communion wine).

Is it the older minis or new ones?

Not too update with Warhammer minis but I read they're getting a new codex and minis.

A collection of metal Sisters and Inquisition warbands. I haven't picked up a paint brush in 6.5 years (3 months before the birth of my eldest daughter), but I've been waiting for the new codex and minis for a long time. Just need to rediscover my painting area (easier said than done!) and then place a large order when the full range is released.

The only new Sisters (plastic) out so far are the new Saint Celestine and her bodyguards. The new codex and army will come out towards the end of the year )I suspect Christmas). You can now also get that special sister they've been teasing us with since the start of the year.

Picked up he new LE Sister figure the other day from the GW shop in town and some of the new contrast paints.

The long road to re-collecting Sisters begins. Though I'm just going to wait for plastic. May get the new Celestine as well.

I miss my old fully painted metal SoB army. I hope the new Exorcists stay as pipe organs.

With everyone here getting them we should have some sort of Era sister fan-order or something.

Got a preorder in for the Ork spearhead detachment box. Killa Kans are bordering on useless this edition and I already have 6 of them but I just adore the models.

I haven't really kept up with 40k for the last 15 years but the Jedi vs Space Marines Thread (what a fun read that was) made me interested in checking it out again. And to my dismay there are still no specialized Salamanders minis.

Wtf GW. The most interesting looking chapter aside from maybe the Dark Angels and I haven't even found some custom parts you could order...

You can try Forge World.

I have gotten interested in 40k and Age of Sigmar, being a fan of strategy/tactics video games. Meeting local fans, however, has been...awkward, to say the very least.

Meeting table top nerds out in the wild is always like that. Even the people who work at my FLGS are weird and awkward. It's like 8/10th's of them have never interacted with another human being before. This is coming from someone with pretty bad social anxiety.

Apocalypse looks great

Super tempted, though it would force me to downsize my collection a little and bulk up on one or two armies.

Plus you know, finding more time to play.

Bought a couple of those DIY Funko Primaris, I'm actually pretty excited to get them. Haven't painted a mini since 5th edition so I'm really looking forward to using them to practice painting and test out some schemes, see if I can be inspired to pick up the hobby again.

Jokes aside the sister being that big sucks. It's fine for a centerpiece. Hopefully the actual mainline army is in line with the scale of other human models though.

I mainly started out playing with my friend who plays 40k. Then I sort of learned which of the people that go to the store are alright.

Unlike other nerdy hobbies you're stuck face to face with your opponent for upwards of an hour. I'll rarely play against randoms if I can avoid it.

I'd like to pick these up, anyone know when they'll be available, and if I will be able to get them in the UK? Thanks.
I think these will be available worldwide this time. GW noticed people importing these like mad from Japan.

Edit : Keep in mind that these Space Marines Heroes are blind boxes, litteral plastic gacha. The advantage of having those sold locally should mean the possibility to trade models between people, I guess. Unless they change business model for the West, but I doubt it.

Thanks! I'm an action figure/toy collector so I know the pain of blind boxes all too well haha.

How many individual minis are there in each series? And are some rarer than others or are all equal?

Well these are plague marines so I guess they'll be around the same size of the tac squad from series 1, 7 + sergeant + captain, or something close.

Looks like I'm going to be picking up that Kastelan Apocolypse box sooner than later if these leaked price lists are true.

Bought a Kytan, 3 Blood Slaughterers and 2x Lord Discordant....guess what I'm up to
Dark Admech? If so See if you can pick up those dark admech cultists from Blackstone Fortress. I'm sure they would match perfectly.

I've just painted 60 regular cultists - I'm not sure I want to paint anymore!

But yes Dark Ad-Mech!
I love Daemon Engines

I'd love a Brass Scorpion but I really can't justify that right now

I finally painted enough of my Death Guard to justify buying some Blightlord Terminators. Terminators are my favorite so I am very happy!

I've been out of the game for awhile but am looking to get back in (with a SoB army again) and I was talking with some SMarine players and one of them mentioned that the new Primarus Marine or more lore accurate than the regular SMarines.

What does that mean?

They mean in scale. Regular space Marines models aren't that much bigger than normal human models, whereas Black Library books and official art had the Marines as much bigger.

There's got to be a new Space Marine Codex coming soon right?

There's like thirty different models without any rules in the book now.

Wow, that Knights Apocalypse box is sold out already! Not going to lie I was eying that up, also looks like they are giving the Baneblade a retail release (seemed to be a webshop exclusive, I am not sure if it had a retail box before)

I was thinking of getting the Necron Apocalypse set in addition to the Tyranids one, maybe I should grab it soon if these sets are limited stock (you win again GW, lol). I could do with more Tomb Blades and some Wraiths...

I'm finding myself rather looking forward to the Chaos Knights, they seem like they are doing a solid job making them have their own game mechanics so they are not just Imperial Knights with renamed statagems. Looking into getting one to escort my Death Guard into battle, a big bastard who can suck up fire for the first turn or two could be quite valuable while my plague boys lurch across the board.
