Kingdom Hearts 3 was similar to this. Pretty much every notable cutscene from the main game was leaked a month from release.
I mean the visual gameplay from a developer build. That's unheard of.
Frankly as someone who's not the biggest fan of Joel this twist is the most interested I've ever been in TLOU2.
Oh, in that case, the closest that comes to this is the beta rom leaks of Pokemon games that have been happening over the past two years, since those were sourced from a server hack.
idk i would argue you're supposed to like Joel to some degree given they don't actually give you the choice of sparing that surgeon at the end of Part I. They knew what they were doing using established characters to get their point across. Its just something they're going to have to deal with.

Wow, some of the recent videos are fascinating from a tech point of view. They give us different render times for CPU and GPU separately, and the PS4 CPU is not having trouble at all to keep up with the framerate. At least in these less taxing scenes. Makes it very likely that the PS5 will run it at 60fps (or higher), and also a strong possibility that we'll get 60fps multiplayer like in Uncharted 4, which is great.

This is pretty tame when it comes to leaks. Plenty of games are leaked in their entirety weeks in advance. Kingdom Hearts 3 recently had some major leaks a month before release.
We don't know for sure yet but that's what I'm thinking. Gotta be a QA tester that got special access because of the circumstances or something.
im assuming some employee at a Brazilian game testing firm as some of the dialogue is subbed in Brazilian Portuguese
Further proof the point that how ps5 power shift or AMD smart shift technology can be very effective because even for some of the best looking end gen ps4 games dont neccesary max out cpu and gpu at the same time most of the time.
So it looks like everything is from a quite recent build? It shows 4 April in one of those videos.
I just dont get the point of spoiling part II for yourself now. I feel this is a slap in the face to ND'S hardwork. How the hell did someone manage to get plot details? I'll be out of this thread as i'm not reading anything but I just saw an official spoiler thread up.... wow this sucks for ND.
For me its cathartic. Knowing I probably wouldn't have bought it day one and now I don't have to sit up worrying about when the game will release.
No specifics but are the story spoilers overall shocking and as divisive as Troy Baker has mentioned?
It'll all be in the execution. The original game had a plot that was done to death in other forms, but ND made it feel fresh and new.
So plot points that might seem off could work, especially with ND at the helm.

I only really care about one thing. Two technically. I don't want to know the answers to either, but I also really want to know because it'll greatly affect my enjoyment of the final game. It's frustrating how many spoilers are out there because it becomes very tempting, even though I've basically been on blackout since trailer one.
