This is a public oversight hearing. What exactly are you expecting here? They are criticizing the department for their handling of their border policies. You're basically whining about this being a nothing-burger, I'm not sure what you're expecting.
Roger Stone was indicted for lying to Congress, among other things. These hearings matter.
Shouldn't the DOJ be looking into a possible crime regarding the deaths of the children that were in custody? Shouldn't they have knowledge of information? I dunno just my thought. Probably a wrong thought.

First he said he found out about his appointment via tweet, then he said he has a call and they misunderstood what he meant when he said he found out via tweet. That of course is impossible
He previously said he found out he got the job by a tweet to a previous question from someone else. Then when asked, said he didn't remember how he got the job. She called him out on it.
