Yeah the Carrey face parts have a pretty different skin tone to them. It's interesting tech to be sure but it's pretty clear that this is edited footage.
EDIT: plus sometimes the facial features don't stay in place properly; you can also see it a few times in the Hader clip right above this post
Bill Hader's spot on impersonation really sells this one. This is just one guy doing it. Imagine if a film studio gave him like $20 million.
I honestly think deepfake needs to be super regulated and under wraps like porn. Imagine people making videos of Obama saying white people suck or whatever. It will spread like wildfire on Facebook and Republican circles and become "truth".

I bet you could show a regular-ass person on the street this video, say that Jim Carrey is doing a remake of The Shining, and they'd buy it for a pretty decent amount of time into the video, if not afterwards.
I've seen that channel pop up every now and then, and that is definitely the best one they've put out yet.

We're gonna need deepfake detectives soon. To those who are saying they can spot this, I wonder how much of that is already being aware this is fake by the title. If this showed up on Movietrailers Facebook page as The Shinning Jim Carry remake, would we buy into it?
We're well past the point of "seeing is believing" when it comes to the right wing. If anything the idea of footage that they're not able to see, because it's been destroyed or whatever, is much more engaging to the right wing narrative.
Who's the girl? She looks uncanny as hell. Deepfake technology still has a long way to go before we get realistic face swaps.

Already happening. There are doofuses right now that think the video of drunk Pelosi is real.
I think ai swaps are always gonna look a little funky because people's faces dont move the same. You couldn't swap drew barrymore's face with jim carrey's for example. You'd just be like "why is jim carrey talking out of the side of his mouth?"
