Try Bouchon at the Venetian for brunch instead of Hash House next time...Thomas Keller's chicken and waffles there is much better than the one at hash house.
Accepting drugs from random people in Vegas is probably not a good idea, no way I would do it.
I usually go to Wicked Spoon at the Cosmo if I'm feeling a buffet, mostly cuz I get a room there lol.
Vegas gets hot, but not THAT hot. 60C would be 150F. lol
vegas gambling is like anywhere. there isn't a good or bad place to play. it's all aesthetics at that point.

Grand Canyon and Hoover are going to be hot as shit, I would avoid, especially on a stag.
I will never understand the buffet appeal on Vegas. The food is not great and you will pay nearly what you'd pay for a good meal elsewhere, and there are tons of great restaurants.
Momofuku was recommended above, I second that. Order the bo saam for the table, delicious.
The STK in Cosmo is also really good. Craft steak and Ramsey's steakhouse have gone downhill in my opinion.

Pretty much every buffet on the Strip is good except for Circus Circus (and Gold Coast). A good rule of thumb is that if the casino is run down and ramshackle, the buffet is going to be poor. A little bit off Strip there is the AYCE buffet at The Palms. Pricing there tops out at around $20 for brunch (technically $22 but if you have a players card the discount should bring it down a little). Also off Strip is the Palace Station which has recently undergone a renovation and their buffet is also good at a lower price than The Palms.
Going in mid July, will keep this thread as a reference and definitely not looking forward to the heat
Best buffet is the Sterling Brunch at Bally's on Sunday mornings. $100 for all you can eat lobster tails, king crab legs, prime rib, lamb, fresh oysters, filet mignon, caviar, unlimited champagne pours, bloody mary bar, and all sorts of other goodness. You won't get a table this Sunday though. Or any Sunday this summer. They're booked until September. The bar is open seating but there's only about 25 spots and they're taken right at 9am.
Caesar's and Cosmopolitan have the best outside of that one but A.Y.C.E. is cheaper and getting really good reviews.
For a 3 day stag, pool parties by day, bars and clubs at night. Only good daytime show I know of is Mac King and, while great, I'm not sure he's really geared for a stag party. Absinthe would be a great show for a stag but it's around $100 a ticket. Of course there's the topless shows at Flamingo and Luxor.
Zipline at the Linq and then do the half hour open bar ride on the High Roller.
I wouldn't worry too much about the heat. So many spots have misters to keep it cool and you'll be in and out of places with the AC on blast while you're walking. Wear broken in comfortable shoes. Stop into the multitude of Walgreens/ CVS/ ABC Stores on the Strip and grab a bottle of water along with a can of beer and do your drinking that way instead of stopping at casino bars.

Absolutely don't go to secret pizza. Overrated to hell and back. You'l get much larger, much tastier slices at Pin Up Pizza outside Planet Hollywood. Or you can to go Pizza Rock on Freemont Street to get some of the best pizza in town, too.
It gets that hot in a car that's been sitting outside all day, lol.
My car will be that hot in two weeks.

- Stratosphere if you're feeling adventurous.
- Old Vegas for the music archway thing and zip line.
- Hoover Dam and Grand Canyon for sight seeing.
- New York New York has an arcade and a roller coaster inside.
- The Linq has a cool ferris wheel.
- Plenty of shows to see, just look them up online or go to a "Tix 4 Tonight" booth.
Food:
- STK if you want a steakhouse.
- Caesar's if you want a buffet.
- Earl of Sandwich for a cheap tasty sandwich.
- Guy Fieri's Las Vegas at the Line is pretty decent.
- Plenty of restaurants that are normally regional such as Shake Shack and In N Out Burger. Giordano's for Chicago style deep dish pizza, etc.
- House of Blues in Mandalay Bay has decent Chicken & Waffles for breakfast / brunch.
- Daylight at Mandalay Bay is nice.
- Marquee at the Cosmopolitan is really nice too.
- I've heard good things about Drai's as well.
- Crazy Horse III, get bottle service or at least call the number for free limo pickup and free entry. Just tip your driver.
- The Reef used to be the spot but there's a newer place right next door that's apparently much better. I believe it's called Planet 13.
- Do NOT go to one of the timeshare meetings, it will take the entire day. It's potentially worth it if you're there for 5+ days and want to get some free or cheap show tickets, otherwise don't waste your time.
As someone who's worked in timeshare for the past three years, if it takes more than the 90 minutes (or 120, depending on how you were booked) that you're scheduled, you're doing it wrong. You're there to get free shit, monitor your time and be aggressive on wrapping shit up once you hit the deadline and you'll be in and out.
There's a big arcade in New York New York, I always see lots of families with kids there.
I go to Vegas a few times a year, and have gone with multiple different groups of friends and family who have gone and the earliest I've had anyone get back is 6PM after leaving for a morning session. I'm not complaining because we get 4 tickets but only have to send 2 people, however I'd never recommend to someone who's only in town 3 days or less.
Gameworks isn't on the Strip anymore. It's still on Las Vegas Blvd though. It's now about two miles from Manadalay Bay in Town Square.
I see far more people in and out in 90 minutes or less. Out of the hundreds of people who do those a day, it probably averages about 6 or so who end up going over the allotted time, and skews closer to half of that that end up being trapped for more than three hours.
I do agree though; if you're in town for three days or less, and you're not in town for three days because you signed up for a free stay contingent on attending a presentation, only go if you're going for four days at the very least.
I'll be there mid july too, heat shouldn't be an issue since I'll be working in an AC cooled casino from 8 to 5 each day :D
B, the entire strip REEKS of the devil herb. It's almost as ridiculous as San Francisco. You can even spot bewildered Chinese tourists covering their kids to "protect them".
I dislike the smell and I found it outright nasty at times. Go downtown if you want some fix. I saw several shops.
Planet 13 is huge and not too far off the strip, but I had a better experience and better product in The Grove, even if it is a bit off the strip
Opium was amazing at the Cosmo - go watch it. Very raunchy humor.

I hate the smell too, but a couple of my buddies will be down. I don't mind the concentrate vape pens that have minimal smell.
Neon and Mob Museums, both downtown and great to kill more than a few hours. Pretty sure you can get 2 for 1 tickets for the day.

Basically, go downtown. Outside of Fremont Street. It's great, I promise.
Since it's a video game forum, I'd highly recommend the Star Wars VR experience at The Venetian. We done it last year on our trip, it's amazing! I second Opium at the Cosmo too, filthy and weird humour, it was a blast.
Pin-up is good, too, but he won't miss it if he's on the strip.
Fun Dungeon in Excalibur has tons of arcade and ticket games including some classics. That's also where the Tournament of Kings, a dinner show with knights on horseback jousting, happens. You're seated in a section with a knight to cheer for. Food is all hand food. Cornish game hen I believe. Also a decent selection of arcade games in NYNY up by the entrance to the roller coaster.
Adventure Dome at Circus Circus is alright. They also have live circus performances there in an area kids can hang out in. Unfortunately there's not much else to do on that end of the Strip.
Mandalay Bay has a shark reef aquarium. Mirage has a dolphin habitat and Siegfried and Roy's lions and tigers.
The Atlantis Show at the Forum Shoppes is a free animatronic show.
If you're kids are a bit older and like Lady Gaga, the Haus of Gaga just opened at Park MGM with a bunch of her outfits she's worn, including her Super Bowl outfit and the actual meat dress.
Mac King is a family friendly comedy magician with a daytime show at Harrah's. Tickets are "free" at the player's club desk (you have to purchase 2 drinks, which can be non-alcoholic).
There's KISS minigolf at the Rio and Twilight Zone minigolf at Bally's. Kids may not be into either but they'll probably enjoy the spectacle.
Pin Up is gross. It's quantity over quality.
Earl of Sandwich and Burger, on the other hand, are amazing, and make ph my favorite food casino.

This town is way too much. Won a couple hundred bucks at roulette. Covered how much these resort/tourist fees ding you haha. We got slightly plastered and wandered the strip.
