Oct. 5th, 2016 - ~218lbs.
April 25th, 2019 - ~205lbs.
- Started fasting.
June 16th, 2019 - ~182lbs.

This is pretty much all thanks to Intermittent Fasting. My dog and I also walked my nephew to school every day this school year, but I wasn't dropping weight until I started the fasting. This is the lowest weight I've been since 2002.

Welcome to the thread!

I've taken the liberty of adding you to the spreadsheet since the dates seemed to align with the spreadsheet anyway.

Welcome to the thread!

Cool, thanks! I'll try to remember to update once a week. I haven't been keeping track of my weight on any basis other than remembering what weight I was at a recent visit to the doctor's office, which is what the April 25th weigh-in was at.

I try to avoid being in photos so there's about as much proof of me as a Sasquatch, but I do have one from March 2016, and I'm sure I weighed more than the 218 above. Man, I looked rough.

Anyway, great idea for a thread and I look forward to participating.

Checking in at 96.0kg

I've been away from work and mostly sedentary for the last 6 weeks while spending time with my new daughter. I expected to gain some weight back and haven't weighed myself in weeks, but turns out I've managed maintain my current weight. Hooray.

Now I'm back at work and will be able to fall back into my usual routine.

Checking in for the week!

June 11-16th: 212.4, 212.4, 212.0, 212.0, 214.0, 213.0

June 17th: 211.8

I've now lost over 40 lbs since I started in January at 252.0! Can't wait to hit the 50 lbs lost mark and then the under 200 mark.

Also my scale is merciless and cruel and you can step on and off it 50 times and it'll tell you the exact same thing every time and it does not care about your feelings. Saturday was mean. Feel good about making it through E3 week without totally pigging out in depravity though.

Then next week we have to get through SGDQ week without vegging out and consuming garbage.

I'm really starting to wish I had taken some proper pictures when I started (unofficially) in March at 80.4kg, or even before that, when I was over 82kg around christmas.
Being down 15% of my previous body weight, I'm sure it'd be an interesting comparison. Bummer.

Still on track! For some reason I find myself lurking this thread more often than posting as I forget to post a weekly check-up. It might seem silly, but I make it a habit to weigh myself only once a week because I feel like sometimes my weight fluctuates day by day (Probably water weight or some such) and it can be a downer if I see that I'm barely losing any pounds for a week.

That being said, I weighed on Monday at 183.9lbs which is 18.5lbs down from my starting weight of 202.4lbs :3

183 lbs today. Scale is starting to move again. Hopefully the trend continues til at least 177lbs.

I get these weeks where I get little to no movement and then it just drops like 5 lbs in a single week. Last week I was noticing some pretty significant body shape gains, hopefully this week that continues plus weight loss. I've also been getting a little bit better exercise quality in. I may try this exercise regime called Focus T25. It's basically a full workout condensed in 25 minutes.

96.3 -> 78.4kg I think i'm done. Extreme calorie counting for the majority(7months+) before stalling out for 2months. Eating a bit more restarted the losses again and I was finally able to break through 81kg.

Down almost 1.5 kg this week. I actually dropped 2 whole kg today compared to yesterday, which was amusing but also nice since it's my first time under 107. I don't eat dinner these days and barely drink, but two night outs last week helped spike my carb/water retention.

Weight = 106.4 kg, target weight = 85 kg, weight loss to date = 12.2

Positives last week - quite a number of people have been noticing and commenting. Also, participating in some workplace basketball shenanigans has shown my cardio is now decent, at least compared to where it was two months ago. I felt light and could keep up with everyone.

I had to buy new clothes, which is partly a positive, but I'm hoping to out-shrink those in a couple of months, so it's a fair bit of money to pay for interim clothing. It's for work though as my current clothes are looking baggy.

Say, did you want to be added to the spreadsheet? Up until now you've been letting your graph do the talking and declining to mention your actual current weight, so I had nothing to go on. I can start now if you like - it's up to you.

That is such great news!

That has happened to me multiple times now. I just push on and keep going cause when I don't like what I see, I know the end result will be good doing what I do. The scale can sometimes be a blessing or a curse because not all bodies are the same and/or even act the same way all the time

2 weeks back I finally replaced the batteries in my bathroom scales and...it wasn't good news lol.

But since then I've been exercising every day, and cutting my food down. I've lost 6lb in that two weeks. 5lb till I'm not technically overweight, and 11lb till I'm the lightest I've been in like 7 years! Il feeling pretty motivated, and I'm hoping I can lose it in 6 weeks.

Sure thing - if it adds to the "weight" of data that may inspire people, why not.

Starting weight = 118.6 kg
Current weight = 106.4 kg

I think that's all you need.

Looks like I started my weight loss five days before it your comp kicked off, so I'm with you guys even if I'm not official.

Meh, weight loss is damn hard. Especially the last 10 kg. When you do well an entire week and struggle to go down 1 kg, then fuck up one evening and most of it is back, it's so annoying.

Checking in at 180.8lbs and I only have another 10.8lbs to go for my goal! I think getting my thyroid fixed and being put on thyroid medication has played a big part in the weight loss and I'm very happy to be slimming down. I haven't quite checked in every week, but this thread has been a huge motivation to keep at it and work towards my goal.

202lbs at 15% body fat. I bought some 32" waist jeans yesterday and they almost fit. I'm in 34" atm but naturally they didn't have those in the shop. Anyway once the 32" ones fit properly I'm done with the weight loss. I still cant quite believe that I'm wearing such small clothes. In the last 20 odd years the smallest stuff I managed to fit in was a 42" waist and at my worst I couldn't even get into my 48" stretch jeans and was reduced to wearing 3xl elasticated track suit trousers as that was the only thing sold around here that fit.

Congrats man - must feel good.

I have some 33" jeans eyeing me off from my wardrobe, as well as some medium sized t-shirts and such. I have a lot of nice clothes waiting for me that I've owned from over a decade ago. I've yo-yoed a couple of times in the last 15 years or so, so some of that skinny stuff is still in near-new condition since the mid-2000s, because I have only fit in them for brief periods since then. A lot is no doubt out of fashion, but for a time I'll be the guy with the new almost-vintage clothing.

This time I'm confident my yo-yo days will be behind me, because everything I'm doing seems sustainable.

Got an electric bike several weeks ago and it's helped me bike commute regularly again. I'm probably overestimating calorie expenditure but it's certainly not difficult to ramp it up. I noticed my legs were actually pretty tired when I went riding with my daughter so I'm pretending it's a slow ride when I count it as an Exercise.

This thread is an inspiration! I'm roughly one week away from my third weigh in. I've had a few more cheat days than usual since my first post in this thread but I'd be seriously surprised if I haven't continued to lose weight overall. It's hard laying off fast food even though my portion size has decreased immensely.

Colleagues and family have noticed significant differences in my appearance from just a 5 kilo loss so that helps me keep going. Colleagues are quite positive and encouraging, but my family only half so. Mom instantly tried to force feed over the last weekend but I held strong!

Update this week: 106.7 kg, actually up 300g on this time last week (it's Sunday morning here).

Friday night was a big one, so I expected my weight to be high; lots of beer equates to lots of extra weight for the next few days. I have a 3 day business trip next week, which may stall my progress further, but we'll see. The trend-line in the graph below is pushing out; I'd really like to get below 90kg by the end of October, but I'm not going crash-diet out of panic and will keep it sustainable. I've started to be more concious of my protein levels as I don't want to lose muscle and may start resistance training soon. However, the benefits I get from my current exercise, in terms of mental-health and ability to curb hunger, are my main priorities. If I want to change my routine it will still need to fulfil those requirements above all else.

Positives from last week: More compliments, mostly because I'm wearing the new clothes I bought last weekend, which aren't as baggy. People tend not to notice weight loss so much if you're wearing the same fat clothes. I wore an old shirt last week I wasn't expecting to fit back into for another few weeks, so I am still losing size, despite my static weight. I keep pushing up the pace of my cardio so that I'm not cruising as I lose body weight. My posture is also improving since I've been doing exercises to address hunching and "nerd neck". Once factor in my bad posture is from computer work, etc, but another big factor is from me leaning over when I walk in a (mostly) subconscious effort to hide my gut.

Yeah - when I'm actually at or even above a good body fat percentage, my face looks gaunt and family will tell me I'm too skinny.

This thread is so inspiring! I'm just following along, today my weight is 75.1kg which is sad because a year ago i was almost 10kg lighter. I've been trying to lose weight on and off with various levels of commitments for the past 12 years but i've always been too hard on myself.

My goal this time is to make weightloss as painless as possible for myself. Been doing OMAD (and IF on weekends) for 2 weeks even though I've had really oily china steamfood x2 over this period and oily spicy china food x4 times, i still lost 2kg. Adding in some exercise starting from this week and hopefully the weight will come off somemore. It was extremely inspiring to see someone post their weightloss numbers over the months so it gives me a realistic view of how much to lose, goal for 1 august is 73kg now. Measurement goal is 28 inch waist by end of the year (currently 34!), dream goal is 24 which is unlikely haha!

Is there some method to liking protein shakes and bars? I've never managed to enjoy/consume them fully! Even the peanut butter flavoured protein bars taste horrid to me, the most i can eat at 1 go is half

i tried intermitent fasting but i realize that i actually lose more weight when i drink my cofee in a daily basis (i know that black coffee is good for IF but i dont like it)

the reason is simply that the coffee makes me go to the bathroom, and when i do the intermitent fasting i can last up to three days without going to number 2.

i know that isnt a good sign, but right now im focusing on actually losing weigh only.

i will deal with health later

You could try alternating IF days. I try to only do IF 5 times a week. Well, that is to say I do 16/8 five times a week and I do 12/12 around 2 times a week. Although I have to admit it's the 12/12 days that are harder to work in because I am so used to 16/8.

Coffee is not only acceptable on IF, it's actually great for it. I break my fast with coffee (not coffee alone, on keto I add healthy fats). It goes down easy for me when eating heavier foods will not only spike my insulin like crazy, but will also be a problem due to smaller stomach size due to having just fasted.

I know IF isn't for everyone. But it also doesn't have to be an every day thing and in fact I've read enough to conclude that it probably shouldn't be an every day thing.

So, it's been 6 months since I broke up with my Ex on January 2nd and then recorded my weight for the first time on January 4th at 252.0 Since then I've recorded it every single day, except the day after, for the entirety of this year. I've also recorded every single time that I did my exercise bike for 45+ minutes, usually doing it twice a day.

Some of the research results are saying IF isn't any better than other diets so it's whatever you can make a habit. On weekdays I do ~16/8 but I'll do a later brunch or straight up breakfast on weekends w/ my family sometimes.

Random workout question: from what I understand, working out and making the body warmer than usual will make you use more energy, thus losing more kcals from the workout.

Does that suggest I should go to the gym in a thick hoodie and long pants, instead of the typical shorts and tshirt? Warm clothes ought to make you sweat more (just make sure to drink water).

Edit: I bought long johns for this purpose some years ago but I never got around to using them in a gym.

I would think it was the opposite. Wearing warm clothes insulates your body, which means it requires less energy to maintain optimal body temperature.

edit: so you should work out naked in a cold wind tunnel, forcing your body to consume calories to keep you warm.

I shaved off my beard to see if I still have a spherical baby face. I do...

April 15: 222 pounds (100.7 kg)
April 23: 219
May 1: 214
May 10: 213
May 20: 209
May 25: 205
June 8: 203

July 1: 199 (90.3 kg)

Daily calorie budget is 1400 cal. I had two big family meals last week but I accounted for them by eating a little less on other days. Weight loss remains relentless like a Terminator.

Target is 168 lbs. I absolutely will not stop, ever, until it is dead.

I'm not. Go to any gym and look at what everyone is wearing. Look at the people who are taking it really seriously. How many are wearing coats?

Want an easy way to burn a few more calories? Turn down the heating.

Great job to all the people posting massive weight loss from early this year! I'm pretty stoked that i finished my second day of workouts this week (hot yoga) and the final one scheduled for friday is a killer (tabata) so im semi-dreading that.

Weightloss has been pretty good despite not eating clean, ive decided to do IF for workout days and OMAD for rest days. Surprisingly i can stomache protein bars/meal replacements right after my workout, probably because im too tired to think of what delicious food i should be eating instead. However i realised that all my protein bars have expired with my meal replacements/huel expiring really soon. Doesnt seem to have much downside though it explains why the bar i ate yesterday was so hard!

17/6: 77.1kg (HW)
1/7: 75.1kg (via OMAD)
2/7: 74.6kg (hopeful to stay this weight and under this week)
