So apparently Gina Carano supporters have banded together to show their love of Cara Dune.


Apparently #fireginacarano started trending and supporters of anti-masker, transphobic MAGA supporter Gina Carano, but refusing to allow their goddess to be canceled the supporters have now outnumbered the critics.

Ms. Carano has been a lightning rod since the summer of 2020 when she made was asked by fans if she'd add pronouns to her bio to show solidarity with the transgender community. Her response of "boop/bop/beep" – meant to sound like the droids in the sci-fi series – didn't land with fans.


Then her support for President Donald Trump following the 2020 Presidential election was apparently more than some fans could handle.


The question is whether such response to her very personal opinions is warranted?

I was rewatching Season 2 of Mando with the GF and genuinely felt my enjoyment of the show plummet every time she was on screen. Not just a shitty person but a seriously terrible actor, and a boring character. Get her farted on.

She was good in Deadpool, but her conspiracy theory signal boosting is way out of line and I can't enjoy anything she's in anymore.

I couldn't even tell you my favorite scene from the character... She's just kind of there.

And I do keep an open mind, trying to separate the character from the actress' personal life.

Even if she wasn't a giant piece of trash I'm not sure how people could love that character or her acting (but I'm sure they love her for reasons completely separate from the character, or the acting).

But yeah, really sucks when you have a character you like played by an actress who the character would probably bitchslap given the chance. Yeah, I like the character, sue me.

I thought Haywire was okay. Kinda bland, like her fighting career. Not sure why Disney doesn't just replace her.

I'm sure they can find another muscular woman who looks imposing in armor for the role. Hopefully one who isn't Alt right and acts as well as a high school drama kid.

I first heard of her in the Soderburgh film Haywire, she really brought the quality of that down.

I'm confident in saying she is the weakest character on the show and her acting isn't very good. Like, Bill Burr does a better job than her and his character is more interesting. Heck, that death robot was more interesting.

Even if the character was played by a good actress who wasnt trash. The actual character is so insanely 1 dimensional and forgettable. Love the show but dont care about the character

I am sure there are plenty of people at Disney who agree with her shitty views. The internet rumor is that Favreau is among them.

Here's the thing: They don't love the character, they love the actor. And they only started loving the actor after they found out about her conservative views. Back when the show first aired the same people leading this plastered how Cara Dune was just "SJW shit" on their youtube page.
