It's true though. People just don't wanna realize their existence is worth less than a fart in the wind.
Isn't wet just a word we use to describe liquids that are sticky (although I guess a single molecule can't be considered a liquid)? Individual water molecules should exhibit that behavior, however that too probably is an emergent of the electron configuration of the molecule.
Wait till you find out about particle-wave duality. Turns out, we're probably made up of field vibrations, stacked to become stable enough to be perceived as "stuff."
Nah. Our bodies are in fact a bunch of cells to pass on the DNA of our sex cells. That's what makes us like an ant hill. The rest of the cells don't pass on their genes.
Regarding what makes us us. It's our brains. That's the individual part. The emergent property from the assembly. The assembly itself doesn't matter much
Now, the sense of self is an illusion. But that's a different question.
Every cell is just a collection of organelles inside a membrane. Every organelle is just a collection of proteins and enzymes. Those are just made up of molecules and those of atoms and those of subatomic particles....

Right, an individual molecule wouldn't exhibit that property. And you're right, a molecule of water is, by definition, not a liquid. (A molecule of H2O also can't be ice, by extension.)
I took acid once and i started thinking this. And because my cells were doing just what they did, i thought thet controlled what i said. But because i wanted to be in control of my cells, every time i tried to talk, my brain told me to stop, because it were my cells in control, not my free will. So eventually i was just rambling nonsense, because i always tried to prevent my cells from working together and saying stuff.

When you "touch" an object, your hands are not actually in direct contact with anything. The electromagnetic fields of the atoms on the surface of your hand are repelling the eletromagnetic fields of the atoms on the surface of the object. That's what "touch" is, just fields repelling each other.

everyone should read about how gut bacteria influence our feelings (and therefore thoughts and actions) through the vagus nerve (gut's connection to the brain). its quite humbling.

My colony of cells seems to be very fond of using an articulated pseudopod to smear their natural oils and cellular waste matter on a slab of plastic they keep in a pocket of one of the enormous bifurcated cell-colony bags they like to trundle around in. These smearing operations typically coincide with incoming visual signals apparently emanating from the same slab of plastic. This activity also occasionally correlates with the emission of sharp guttural sounds, to which the pseudopoda seem curiously reluctant to assign the designation LOL.
I disagree. It's more accurate to say that we arise from the interactions between these components. A single cell has no "youness", just as a single element does not describe a probability distribution. If you have lots of interactions, at some point it no longer becomes useful to describe them as individual elements. That's when you have something new, something greater than the sum of its parts (because a "sum" implies linearity, commutativity).
Emergent behavior allow collections of simple things to become complicated wholes, greater than the sum of their parts.
Think about this OP:
Our digestive system is a symbiotic system that relies on bacteria. Without it, we couldn't digest food. These are not cells that come from our body/DNA.
Also, these creatures that we live in symbiosis with, they literally send signals to your brain, and affects your mood.
