I've quit Reddit + Twitter which were sites I went on every day for the last 10 years or so. I could spend hours reading/looking at pictures or watching videos on them but I've had enough. This forum is also a place I can spend hours reading but I want to find some other sites to enjoy. I go on YouTube often but I'm not wanting to join any other social sites like Fb/insta/tiktok.

Excluding this forum what sites do you visit daily, spend way too much time on, or simply find interesting?

Same here, it's so unintuitive; I have no interest in interacting with the UI. Had to create an account the other day to read a tweet.

I really should get in to Reddit but I pretty much just have YouTube on my second PC all day (Bit of 4OD/5OD TV catchup and Prime Movies) and here Facebook > Instagram, Era (Generally for news/World updates, check the odd game thread; basically World and Games news comes from here), rinse and repeat.

I go to tonedear daily to practice ear training but in terms of pure leisure/recreation, can't think of much that isn't ERA - Insta/Facebook - Youtube - Rinse&Repeat.

Outside of Era/Youtube/Reddit I use sites like MyAnimeList, TVTime, Letterboxd and Goodreads. They are great if you are very into media.

Maybe daily web routine through the day would be as (in order):

  1. ResetERA
  2. Twitter (curated lists I created)
  3. Spotify Web
  4. Jeuxvideo.com's Forum (french)
  5. LinkedIn (I've been pleasantly surprised the good content you can get from it once you clear your feed and filter most of it)
  6. Youtube
  7. Discord
  8. SoundCloud (checking what's new in the feed)
  9. Product Hunt
It's somehow sad how this list is mostly centralised platforms rather than independent blogs or forum like the early 2000 days, but hey, that's how web has moved I guess.

Also, I don't use much mobile app, web through the browser is still the less pressuring medium imo.

I miss the days of browsing the web. Nowadays resetera is the only website I go to. Everything else is apps like Reddit, Twitter, Facebook

Edit: and porn. I guess my browsers are now primarily for resetera and porn

Reddit, Facebook, Era, and Youtube are about it these days. I miss the internet that wasn't incredibly centralized.

Gave up on Twitter for mental health reasons, it was a huge help. After I catch up on Resetera, I usually find myself cycling through a few media news/review sites:
Vulture (have a paid subscription)
Avclub
Pitchfork
Letterboxd

I also miss the days of the non-centralized internet. RIP Google Reader.

Resetera and Youtube

Reddit, a rare occasion to browse stuff I don't know or check out episode discussions. I no longer actively engage in it.

Instagram once in a blue moon to post a pretty picture.....who am I kidding I haven't used it for the entirety of 2021.

Twitter is boring. Facebook is dead. What is snapchat. I don't use tiktok.

Fb in the background for Messenger, Twitter/Artstation/Pixiv for art, Era for game news, and Youtube for whatever my feed gives me. I realize how much my browsing habits crystallized these last few years.

Era
SA forums
Reddit
Ars Technica
ESPN
The Ringer
CNN
Youtube

These are basically the only websites I visit anymore. I also use apps like Discord and TVTime. Not sure if they count for this or not.

For fun:
Resetera
GameFAQs
Famiboards
Gmail
Twitter
YouTube
Letterboxd
Crunchyroll
The website for the Jellyfin my friend runs
Reddit but only for porn/asktransgender/competitive Super Smash Bros. Melee info

Sites that I don't check daily but I usually end up using at least once a day:
Google
Wikipedia
Smashwiki

For work:
Workday
Outlook
Office

I go on 4chan whenever I decide to have a bad time on /v/ and /lgbt/. I also probably go on Amazon about once a week. And Patreon whenever one of the people I donate to updates. There's also usually something I want to watch on Twitch every two-three weeks or so at least, not too long ago it was every day.
