Super Mario's actually the only one I can think of. That and Super Smash Bros. Of all of my other keystone franchises, like Zelda, Metroid, Kirby, Sonic, and Fire Emblem, there's always something missing, like Oracle of Ages/Seasons and Minish Cap from my Zelda history, or Zero Mission from my Metroid history.

Morizora's Forest
Super Smash Bros
Suikoden (main games)
Dark Souls (excluding Demons Soul)
Guilty Gear (All main games, though I might have skipped some of the middle revisions of the same game, didn't play the action game)
Warriors Orochi (unlocked all characters but I didn't level everyone up. Some of the revisions/expansions I may have skipped)
Shadowrun (RPGs)
Bioshock
Deadspace
Valkyrie Profile

There are some that I don't even know if they should be listed...
Final Fantasy Tactics? WoTL + Advance and Advance 2.
Do you consider the Prince of Persia Sands of Time trilogy its own series or are we going to include all the Prince of Persia as one?
Is Tomb Raider reboot in the same or different to classic TR list?

I chose this list to limit myself:

Campaign completed main entries only, so the likes of Wolfenstein, Megami Tensei, Phantasy Star or even Castlevania are out of the running due to bad availability. Some went to shit as Leisure Suit Larry, Ninja Gaiden (remember Yaiba?) or Contra but I am willing to overlook phone and online-only games. Especially if those never left Japan:

Doom
Dragon Quest
Final Fantasy
Fire Emblem
Mana
Mario
Mario Kart
Metal Gear
Metroid
Tex Murphy
Mortal Kombat
Street Fighter
The Legend of Zelda
Ys

I have no life and I must scream. The Oregon Trail is the longers running game series btw.

PS: The list only has series that are older than 25 years. So no Ace Attorney, GTA, Ratchet, or Yakuza which I all finished. An actual listing of all the series I finished would shame even me...
Thank you for reminding me, I've also finished all the Ace Attorney games (except the ones that never left Japan) and all the Zero Escape games.

I wonder how many will now learn of Tex Murphy due to me makonero. I was like WHAT when I saw the series on the list but I even listened to the radio play. I also came really close to 100% completion with many other entries as King´s Quest. I finished King's Quest VIII but why? Why?

The people who will go for that Tetris completion are really screwed btw.

If we're not talking about spin-offs and just titles for the main series:

Suikoden
Mega Man
Mega Man X
Persona
King of Fighters (I finish story with all teams in every entry)
Dynasty Warriors: Gundam
Katamari Damacy
Mario Kart

A lot of series come very close like Zelda, Metal Gear and Castlevania, but there's that one game I just never finished.

In spite of my avatar, I need to play through the two gaidens, Woven Web (maaaaybe) and Card stories to have said I've completed all the Suikoden games.

I think the only series I've completed every game of is God of War.
Runners up are Uncharted (just need to play Lost Legacy) and Wild ARMS (just need to play XF).

Pokémon is the only franchise where I finished every mainline title.
LGPE almost made me quit but I pulled through in the end.

Notable series where I've beaten every entry including spinoffs.

Final Fantasy (not counting gacha games)
Mega Man/X/Zero
God of War
All Insomniac games.
All Naughty Dog games.
All Sucker Punch games.
A good number of other series too.

Almosts
Zelda. Still haven't played BotW, but have played every other title, including the Game & Watch, CD-i, Tingle spinoffs, etc to 100% completion.
Assassin's Creed. Haven't played Origins or Odyssey, but every other title including Chronicles and Bloodlines to 100% synch.

The Witcher, Mass Effect, Dragon Age, Uncharted...

Surprisingly, I think that might be it. Metal Gear is close, there are several others where I'm close but I think those are the only three. God of War if we don't count the Vita games.

- Little Big Planet, missing the PSP game
- God of War, Missing the second PSP game, ascension and 2018
- Metal Gear Solid, missing peace walker
- Batman Arkham, missing both origins
- Silent Hill, couldn't finish shattered memories or downpour

Inside your house
Mario (excluding sports, party, etc.)
Portal
...

That's about it. Damn, I guess I'm not as hardcore as you weirdos lol. There are a lot of franchises where I've played all the good ones and skipped the stinkers.

I've barely finished any series either due to missing a non mainline game or the first or last game.

I can only think of Metal Slug so far.

If we're talking strictly mainline titles and not spin-offs, uhhhh...

Zero Escape
Persona
Pokemon (cheating a little here, counting ORAS as a substitute for the original gen 3 games)

That's about it, unless I get real cheeky and write off the post-SH4 games as not being true Silent Hill games. I'm only two games away from being able to add Yakuza to the list though.

Uncharted, The Witcher and MGS.

I've come close to others like ME but never even played Andromeda, or never played ODST in Halo. Never played chains of sparta with GoW. So there is always like one that crops up in a series which I generally really like but its either a spin off or just looks downright bad so I never bothered.

Not counting Telltale seasons and series with less than 3 games... Super Smash Bros, Monkey Island, Bioshock and Legacy of Kain, unless 'Nosgoth' counts, it's a spin off which doesn't have Kain in the title and was a free to play deathmatch game taken down.

Many... the longest one I think its "Final Fantasy" series. 15 games on the main series + some of the spin-offs, + most of the remakes... so I have played these more than one time in different revisions...

The Stussining
Super Smash Bros series is the only one haha. Every other series always has one title I just never got around to playing

*Wait I just finished my journey to beat every mainline Ace Attorney game ever a few months ago! So that's two series! That one was a bit harder as there are 6 games and a few dlc cases that I also beat. Oh and I beat the Layton crossover for good measure too.

Um...Dark Souls. And Smash Bros. I can't think of another.

I mean, at one point or another, this would've been true of:

Super Mario Bros (but I haven't played NSMB2 on 3DS)
Zelda (but I didn't finish the shitty DS games)
Doom (but I didn't beat 3)
Tomb Raider (but I missed one or two in the middle)
Gears of War (but I haven't played 4)
Call of Duty (but I stopped 7 or 8 games in)
Halo (but I haven't played 5)
Ghosts n' Goblins (but I didn't beat the PSP one)
Guitar Hero (but I didn't buy the recent reboot)
Resident Evil (but I didn't beat Code Veronica)
Metroid (but I didn't like Hunters)
Turok (but I didn't beat / don't even know if you can beat Rage Wars)
F-Zero (but I didn't beat one of the DS ones)
Wipeout (but I didn't like the PS2 one)

and on and on.

Oh, wait - I've beaten every Mario Kart...unless you count the phone one.

Oh, no, I've got another! Iron Soldier. Beat all 3, and that series is dead, so it'll stay beaten. And dead. :(

The Witcher, Megaman X, Street Fighter, Chrono series, Arkham, and I think that may be about it. I've played plenty of games, but I won't always return to a series if a new entry doesn't interest me.

That being said.....if they announced a new Megaman X tomorrow, I'd probably break my foot in a dead sprint to grab my wallet and immediately preorder it, and that's regardless of what it looks like. That's my series there.

Loads, but off the top of my head I'd say the series with the most games where I've finished them all would be Yakuza, including all the offshoots.
