You can tell Corden was That Kid at school. The attention seeking little asshole riddled with insecurities that would try to emotionally manipulate their way through life and relationships.

I see him guffawing away on screen but its all fake as fuck, you can see in his piggy little eyes how insecure he is and how mad criticism makes him. That video of him and Patrick Stewart was excruciating... I didn't particularly enjoy Jean Luc Picard telling the guy off for being fat and having his hands in his pockets but the way he was squaring up to him, like he wanted to fucking knock him out or something it was ridiculous.

That's my perception of him at least. But maybe it isn't that deep he's just an annoying cunt.

He's not funny, he's never been funny, his whole shtick seems to be talking in a high pitch voice and laughing obnoxiously. And yet he's everywhere, probably because he's managed to surround himself with funnier comedians over the years.

Also there's an air of snugness about him.

He's incredibly unfunny, annoying and just generally seems like he's a massive asshole. I have no trouble believing those stories about him.

It's kinda amazing that out of all the likable and funny British tv personalities, Piers Morgan and Jamer Corden are the ones that were given their own shows in America.

When he performs you can see the cogs turning but unfortunately he only has two that work, silent or complete cunt.

I've just never liked him in anything besides Doctor Who, he must have dirt on every agent in showbiz or something.

He's the sort of person who laughs the loudest at his own jokes. He thinks he's funnier than he actually is.

He's the same kind of fake everyman that Jamie Oliver is. The major difference being that the UK put up with Jamie for a lot longer.

Someone like Jimmy Fallon just comes across as someone who really shouldn't be in the position he is, like how did he even get to that level? He seems really fake, but in his defense, he seems like a decent human being. I don't dislike him for that reason alone, he just doesn't seem like someone made for showbiz; like somehow he fell through the cracks and nobody noticed.

James Cordon just comes across as a douche at all times.

He is very successful but doesn't seem to have much talent at all, he's annoying and not funny. Simple as that.
His success is one of the great unsolved mysteries.
Anyone who has ever spent a reasonable amount of time in pubs and clubs across the UK has encountered about a dozen or more James Cordens in their time. Not the best looking but definitely the loudest amongst their group of cookie cutter 'lads'. Their 'outlandish' 'banter' like remarking on the barmaids tits, or just making noises at people is greeted with riotous laughter from all his boring mates.
He's just that guy, but super successful for some reason.

I don't know if he's considered as "unlikable", and I have no idea about how he may be outside of the stage, but I just never found him funny... That's all. And as somebody else has said here before, that carpool karaoke thing is just cringey and uninteresting. I never found what's the appeal.

James Corden just isn't funny, while also not being particularly charismatic. Didn't know he was a twat off set, though.

Everyone here saying Ferguson was the best late night show host ever? 100% correct (tied with Conan, of course.)

Corden is the most bland container of milk ever. I don't think anyone actually likes his comedy*, per se, they just tolerate it.

*Comedy - I use that term extremely loosely.

Also here is Patrick Stewart about to kill him

Am I supposed to be on Patrick Stewart's side on this one? Because I'm not. He's just being a nasty fucking cunt fatshaming his colleague on stage. I don't like Corden, but that's not on.

He was a child star appearing on TV in UK drama 'Teachers' as a schoolboy and both the play and film versions of 'The History Boys' also as a schoolboy. He then co-created, wrote and starred in UK comedy 'Gavin and Stacey' which was quite popular over here. After that he was all over the place and then got the US chatshow gig and here we are.

I have no particular strong feelings about him. He did well in all those early shows I suppose and I haven't watched any of the things he has been in since.

He's painfully unfunny and one note, won't go away and keeps appearing everywhere. Carpool Karaoke is a super annoying idea out of the gate and pairing it with James Cordens brand is just the worst.

He got his break into the states through some support from Harvey Weinstein right? The guy is clearly a scumbag.

Editing to add in some receipts.

I doubt he knew about Weinstein's true nature when he met him. Can't particularly blame him for that.

But the jokes he made about him were already distasteful and extremely insensitive at the time, but this is the first I've heard of them having a relationship with him. Despicable.

Saw him in Cardiff on one of the platforms waiting on a train, told some people to get lost when asking for an autograph. That's how to make an impression, people certainly didn't take kindly to that so were glad when he boarded his train and left.

There's a reason he left the UK and everyone rejoiced there. Meanwhile, all the stories about him here hold up.

I'm shocked that Kimmel thing didn't end his show.

Corden and Fallon are both annoying on screen but the difference is that people seem to like Fallon as a person off camera and everybody seems to dislike Corden. I remember when he came to the US all the UK folk were like "lol no takey backsies"

Yeah, because everyone hates Jack Black. Get outta here with that bullshit, the criticism against James Corden has nothing to do with his physical appearance.
In the early 00s loads of people hated Jack Black because he was everywhere and starred in some utter shite. I felt indifferent myself. You do get more shit when you're overweight but it's not like it's the only reason.

Unfunny and I've heard various reports from people who've worked with him that he's a massive knobhead.

He's an annoying, unfunny twat who's been rewarded with far more money and success than he deserves. Couple that with the many stories of him being a cunt to people when the cameras aren't rolling and its no surprise that many people can't stand him.

Yeah, he has a football panel show in the UK, he's meant to be the guy you can talk to at a pub and laugh with. Carpool Karaoke is meant to be amusing because it's the guy from the pub socialising with A listers, in sitcoms the kind of friendly and slouchy guy who struggles to ask women out and you're meant to root for him. This thread is kind of funny because some people think the complete of how he's meant to potray himself and it's fallen flat there.
