I need to revisit it, I went with my grandfather when it came out, I was 12 and remember pretty much nothing other than being super bored but he loved it.I still need to watch Master and Commander, looks exactly like my kind of movie. I was a little young when it came out though so I never got around to watch it.
I'm sure many will disagree but Solo. The tease at the end made me want to see where they were planning to go with things.
Solo. Messed up Star Wars and Avatar. And I would have been happy with sequels.
I appreciated the new direction that Bay series went and enjoyed the films for the stupidity that they were. I wish we got more craziness as well but it isn't meant to be unfortunately.I'm not sure how many of these were actual bombs vs just not doing well enough for a sequel but in no particular order...
Power Rangers
John Carter
TMNT: Out of the Shadows
Hellboy 2019
Valerian
John Carter and Solo
PSA: John Carter is on Netflix right now.
This.
The 2012 Judge Dredd movie. Though I hear the IP owners, Rebellion, have now just bought a $100 million dollar facility in the UK and are now working on a "Mega City One" series. So this might not be dead.
I wish Everything is Illuminated had done well.
I love that book and the movie was spectacular.
The Nice Guys should've launched a renaissance of the buddy cop genre
I agree. I found Solo to be a well-balanced movie that was extremely enjoyable to watch. I don't really care for the ending because I had enough of him in Clone Wars and Rebels, but I would have liked more Solo movies.I'm sure many will disagree but Solo. The tease at the end made me want to see where they were planning to go with things.
Blade Runner 2049, I know it's already been said dozens of time in this thread but I don't give a shit.
It's a modern classic and I think it's going to be another 30 years before we see something else like it.
