Coming from someone who has watched 3 anime series while waiting for my train at Penn Station, porn.
who watches pornography in PUBLIC?
that is totally, completely taboo and not normal
i have no qualms with watching a something a little graphic, like John Wick, on my laptop with headphones on, in the middle of a cafe or library, because it's accepted by the general public.
I actually feel more weirded out when looking at forums, like Era, in public, because the avatars are hilarious and people around me (who are spying) probably think i'm also into 4chan or Reddit or something, when that is clearly not the case. I've actually had friends come up to me, when browsing Era on my phone, and they ask me "what forum is that?" or "who are you talking to?" ... like, mind your own business lol.

Was at dim sum and some dude was watching hardcore porn on his phone at the table next to us. Was funny. However, I don't feel bad or awkward for him. I feel awkward whenever I see someone reading or watching anime especially of sexualized underaged girls on transit.
I'm embarrased to admit that I enjoyed that.
I want more.

Porn has the surprising unifying effect of everyone just taking the piss / joking about it.
The absolute worst is a FF or Metal Gear game. It's so self serious that it's like Anime squared.

The answer is objectively porn. I think watching super violent stuff or anime in public is pushing it, but porn is flat out unacceptable. If you have some social awareness it isn't hard to judge for yourself what's acceptable.
I don't know anything about wrestling but it doesn't seem like it would be that embarrassing to watch in public. Feel free to prove me wrong though I guess.
