Koijma always wanted to end the franchise so he could move on, so I am not surprised that it was his original idea to end 4.
Good, I like bad endings when they don't feel forced. Also this:
Super Bunny Hops MGS4 critical analysis is so good. MGS4 was just shite on all levels, Kojima just didn't want to do it, how he wraps things up like he doesnt care anymore proves this.
MGS2 predicted a future of social control which is eerily close to whats happening now, i was gobsmacked to hear excerpts of Rose talking about "Pools of members online, choosing and filtering news to form thier own perception of reality that they believe is real, uninterrupted by facts", literally Trump supporters.
MGS4 felt like Kojima's underlying feeling was "Oh FFS"
