So, basically a majority of the people in the main ResetEra discord were new to Discord and realized that you could reply to messages with emojis. An eggplant was one of the most prominent emojis, and was just an odd choice of emoji so it got spammed anytime anyone agreed with or was positive about something that an admin would post or really just agreeing with any user. It just kind of became the official "like" button of the ResetEra discord, and obviously it inspired the color scheme of this site. Also the main admin made the eggplant their avatar.

Eggplant is an old meme used by emoji users for years. So you can't really claim that.
