Illinois
United States (where I live)
Italy (for a family wedding when I was five)
Vatican City (same trip)
Canada (Quebec, several times since I have family in Upstate New York)

Overseas travel is expensive. :( I hope to be able to visit Europe in the near to mid future and hit up a number of different countries, but who knows. There are places further afield that would be neat to see but the possibility of that isn't even remotely on my radar at this point in my life.

Overseas travel isn't as expensive as you might think. Look at theflightdeal.com. You can consistently find flights to Europe in the 300s to 400s and Asia in the 400s to 600s. Focus on cheaper European countries and SE Asia and you are also looking at cheap accommodations and food.

Oh and I have been to

England, Whales, Scottland in 1 trip
Portugal, Madrid
Dominican Republic (x2)
Mexico, Belize, Guatemala in 1 trip
Hawaii (x2)
Barcelona
Canada

I've been to every country in Europe outside Albania.
I've been to every country in North and central America up to and including Panama.
I think I've been to every country in the Caribbean but I need to look at a list to be sure.
I've been to every country in East Asia and every country in South East Asia outside Malaysia and Indonesia.
Other than that I also been to India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, The Maldives, Seychelles, Palau, Solomon Island, Samoa, Papua New Guinea, Fiji, Israel, Jordan, Turkey, Lebanon, Egypt, Tunisia, Morocco, South Africa.
I also been to Guam, Northern Mariana Islands and American Samoa, but those are not really countries,

I think that's about it, though I might be forgetting something.
Need to do South America and more of Africa.

Some of you are very well travelled. My parents liked to go to the same places over and over when I was young.

Places I've been:
- Fuertaventura
- Alcudia
- Rhodes
- Lanzerote
- Mayorca
- Mallorca
- Ibiza
- Gran Canaria
- Orlando, Florida
- Los Angeles, California
- Tenerife
- Dubrovnik
- Multiple regions of Scotland (home)
- England (all over)
- Wales (cannot remember where)

Hoping to have all my next holidays be somewhere new. I'm not big on cities but I think I'd like to try NYC or something like that one day. Next year though, I'm thinking Malta.

Live right next to Newark airport in the US so travel is quite convenient for me:

Europe:

Ireland - All over (many many times)

Turkey - Just Istanbul
Greece - Athens, Crete, and Santorini

Caribbean:
Puerto Rico - All over, was so beautiful there :(
Jamaica - All around the coast
Dominican Republic - Just resort towns never to the real city
St. Thomas - All over but it's tiny so not much of a distinction

North America Mainland -

Canada - Vancouver, Niagara, Montreal, Toronto
Mexico - Just some border town like Nogales and Tijuana. I'd love to go to explore the ancient ruins one day

And finally in the US :

New York City - My Home for many years now I moved to the burbs
Boston
Buffalo
Philadelphia- Boo Eagles
DC
Charlotte
Myrtle Beach
Orlando

I'm not really a big fan of traveling, but looking at the list, it's not actually as short as I expected:

Germany (Home by birth)
France (Home by choice)
Sweden
Czechoslovakia (back when it still existed)
Poland
UK
Moldavia (Girlfriends home)
Switzerland
Austria
Spain

Many of these were actually when I was very young (e.g. Poland was due to a school trip to Auschwitz), but GF is already planning vacations for us to Greece, Croatia and Portugal for the next years, so list should be growing more and more now.

Southern California
A woefully small list, alas:

Born in the Netherlands
Naturalized citizen of the US at age 2
Then Virginia briefly, grew up in Florida : | and moved back to VA for a couple of years, then migrated to California with $200 in my pocket and a dying used car (was towed and lost literally a day after I interviewed for my first job in CA)
Visited Vancouver CA about 10 years ago

And that's it, I'm sad to say. Travel is just not supported by my budget.

I haven't been able to travel much anywhere, and never outside of the USA as I couldn't begin to afford doing so. The states I have been to outside my home state are pretty much from school trips when I was in highschool.
Massachusetts (My state)
New Hampshire
Maine
Rhode Island
Connecticut
New York
New Jersey
Pennsylvania
Maryland
Virginia

Would love to travel outside the USA one day when I can afford it though.

How do you do this in one year?

I moved to London (and have been living here for a couple of years now) with the goal of travelling as much as possible, since getting anywhere from Australia is such a pain. So a lot of my pay, paid leave and any long weekends I get go towards seeing someone new. If travelling is your goal, you can fit quite a bit in.

Not counting airport transfers:

USA
Mexico
Brazil
Portugal
Spain
France
England
Iceland
Belgium
Netherlands
Switzerland
Liechtenstein
Monaco
Italy
Vatican
Germany
Austria
Czech Republic
Poland
Hungary
Slovakia
Romania
Bulgaria
Turkey
Georgia
Armenia
Azerbaijan
Israel & Palestine
South Korea
South Africa
Namibia
Botswana
Zimbabwe

Traveling is the best part of life!

That's a great list! and I agree there's nothing I'd rather do.

Canadian here
USA: All over
London
Amsterdam
Rwanda
Uganda: Most beautiful country I've seen
Kenya: 4 times so far even got married there
Tanzania
Malawi
Zambia
Zimbabwe
Botswana
Namibia

So many highlights but seeing gorillas, Kilimanjaro, sandboarding in Namibia, and trekking in Northern Kenya without another tourist in sight were pretty amazing.

I see! And I completely understand since I did it kinda the other way around. I did a masters degree at the University of Auckland. Used the time to see all of NZ and travel to Sydney too. If it wasn't for a lack of time and money as a poor student I surely would have traveled more extensively, like more of Oz and also the Pacific Islands, Bali etc.
