Sort of a fun (sad) exercise: which person currently in the US, politician or not, would be worse for the United States than Donald Trump?

Any president who's more likeable than Trump but just as fucking stupid and evil. The only thing scarier than a Trump agenda is a Trump agenda that people are too apathetic to pay attention to.

Uhhh, over half the country at least?

Any one of the Trump supporters themselves?

Anyone who supports socialist-anarchism?

Kinda a long list there

The odd thing is the main thing holding back Trump from being worse is his own incompetency. Anyone as bad as him but with a bit more self control would be much worse for the nation.

DJT isn't unique.

He's the uncle/grandpa who (in the past) forwarded the racist chain emails, and who now shares all the conservative posts on Facebook.

Alternatively, anyone as evil as him but not as stupid.

Trump would've gotten away with a lot more by now if he wasn't an idiot surrounded by other idiots.

He already did and I don't care what people say, he was worse and we let him get away with murdering half a million Iraqis for no reason.

Can't be said enough. Trump has a long way to go to be this bad. Not saying he can't do it, but the Bush administration was far worse. The weird longing for the "good old days of Dubya" is infuriating.

I feel like Mike Pence would be worse than Trump, mostly because he's just as evil but waaaaaay better at putting on a friendly, competent façade. People like my parents, who are classic conservative types who find Trump to be a babbling, moronic, shit-eating gorilla in a suit and red-tie that doesn't fit, would most likely find someone like Pence to be a fine president.

Alex Jones.

When thinking about "who'd be worse than Trump," you can't just think about his complete lack of inexperience, his disinterest in the job of president, utter failure as a negotiator, and constant, constant lying (even about things that are easily disproven the moment he says them). You also have to factor in his extreme narcissism and open disdain for anyone who dares disagree with him, or criticize him in any way. I think an Alex Jones type, with his level of crazy, might have a shot at being worse.

In terms of stupidity and sheer incompetence, it's hard to top Trump. He might be the worst president ever based on that alone.

But in terms of causing deaths and destruction? Man, there are some fucking psychos out there that would probably do much more harm, physically, than Trump.

Vince McMahon and Kid Rock. I use those as I think at some point or another they've mentioned running, whether it was a work or a shoot.

Trump is not rock bottom. He's without question the stupidest person ever to step foot in the White House. But he doesn't care about government. He doesn't even care to dismantle it, outside of his quest to fire every person who thought Obama was a good president.

Read "The Fifth Risk". In it, you can see that Trump was totally unprepared to transition our government. Every agency waited in vain to try and help their new leaders continue to run the country. Eventually, some of those top positions were filled, and a few by pretty much the worst person you could pick; a person with the express intent to destroy that agency (like Scott Pruitt). But not all. Trump is destroying our government primarily through two means: neglect, because he has no desire nor ability to govern. And through ego, as he tramples every "check and balance" that isn't expressly written into law, searching for a personal "win". He has appointed people who approach him, wanting to either gut or profit from a government position.

Any semi-competent anti-government GOP nut could do the same thing, but far worse, with express intent rather than bumbling ineptitude and infantile entitlement.

Mike Pence. Anyone who uses their religion as an excuse to harm people is evil.

Many Americans would gladly lay their head down and have their skulls crushed by the tractor tires of "decency" rather than admit how shitty most presidents have been.
