No, it is not. It's not remotely comparable to being transgender and there is absolutely zero basis for trans-race to exist in this way.
That's what I thought but didn't want to be rude or douche. I mean if she want's to change her color or anything else in her body it's not our business but she will always be german born and obviously not african. I hope they won't blame the doctor when the kids come out all white.

This is only makes sense if you think this traits defines being black.
I'll have to look up the fragment of the TV-show I saw her on, but I'm pretty sure she believes that. I'll look it up and give some more insight of her line of thinking.

I think she is 100% wrong it her believes, but from what I got she was 100% behind them. I think the host tried to make some funny comments, but they went over her head.

Here's the giveaway on trans-race not being an actual thing:

Every instance we've seen of it has hinged on white people coloring themselves and then playing out the most extreme forms of black stereotypes.

From Rachel Dolezal and her damn fried chicken obsession and slam poetry, to this woman and her outrageous body proportions.

They give away, plainly, that this is just a costume for them.

It's really getting irritating to have people pull "It's not racist, she's mentally ill" which ignores several things:

1) They're not mutually exclusive
2) It's downplaying the racism
3) You're infantizing the ill person as if they have no sense of agency.
4) As others said, they usually just mimic the stereotypes.

I just watched the This Morning segment and I don’t get how she’s being racist or following racial stereotypes? I see a mentally disturbed German lady who’s turned her skin from white to dark brown. I’m not trying to be ignorant, I genuinely don’t understand how this is racist.

But how does it not make her actions not racist?

I just hope she doesn't try changing the skin colour of any potential children she has.

Racist and mentally ill woman.

The simple fact that she doesn't understand that black people have more body structure differences than just more melanin should be racist as fuck.

Ignorance does not excuse racism. She is using her white privilege to essentially don a form of blackface and mimic a false form of what she incorrectly assumed to be a "black experience". Itself belittling and insulting to what actual black people must go through on a daily basis without choice. It's mockery of our identity regardless of intent.

Is she burning a cross? no, but she is turning herself into a racial stereotype propogated by the media and upheld by society. Not everything is crossburning and white hoods, some shit is way worse. This shit has layers. Folks need to look at all the nuts and bolts of a situation.
No matter how you look at this, there is no way to make a situation like this authentic. A person who is so obsessed with another culture or race has no legit way to express such a fascination in a way that does not come off as a stereotype. Clothes, hair, speech, diet are exactly what a person with issues like this would cling too. I just dont think that obsession is tandem to racism.

Personally, I’m not sure how the racist aspects of this story are outweighing the obvious severity of this woman’s mental illness. She’s not a healthy person and this behavior doesn’t strike me as a teachable moment. Like, it’s outrageous and bizarre and, yes, racist, but the racism is secondary to the fact that she’s not all there.

Rachel Dolezal, this ain’t.

I think the basis of this woman is that she's mentally unstable and used the stereotypes around to be who she is. I think this is more a product of a racist environment than that this is actual racism.

I'm going to be honest here and say I don't know how to explain myself correctly and I don't want to be offensive. I was typing what I thought, but I'm also aware she can be offensive to people, so maybe that alone is enough. But I feel uncomfortable discussing this, because I always feel like I'm not the right person to judge.

How can people not know that genetics is what establishes what race/skin colour/ traits you will have. Next we'll have people thinking they can become cows by drinking milk.
Reminds me of a study that showed 50% of respondents believing GMO tomatoes had genes, but non-GMO tomatoes did not.
No wonder people have such a hard time with evolution by natural selection, they don't even understand basic biology

I'm saying it does not matter what she chose. Any choice she makes is misguided since the premise itself is warped and cant be legitimized. She could come out looking like any black woman with any combination of clothes and hair and it wouldnt make a bit of difference. That is why its not racism. Anybody doung shit like this to such a plateau needs help. This is not the real fight.

But does she know that it's just a stereotype? Maybe she thinks shes doing it right.

Also begs the question, is she imitating black Americans? Do black Germans behave like she does? There are hundreds of countries with black people, is she picking American-style because its on tv?

Pushing back agaisnt negative stereotypes isn't the real fight? You can say she needs help and say why she choose there stereotypes and why they need to be pushed back against

Also, the fact that she thinks this is about race is kinda racist because ... that is not how race works

"She's mentally ill"
'Maybe she's not racist...'

Or, you know, maybe she's just a dumb racist asshole?

Very weird.

I know it's not even close to the same thing but it is kinda weird when can't remember which Kardashian, looks quite different to what they were before. Even someone like Ariana Grande, seems like they've switched genes because they prefer that look.
I don’t know if Kim’s a good example. She looked Armenian/Midde Eastern before, and if anything she looks ambiguous now.

I knew about her before opening this thread. I read a while ago that she lost both her parents and her sister in a car accident and she's basically completely alone now, except for her husband of course. I feel sorry for her.

No sir I dont beilive this is the fight. I think this woman is ill and that needs to be addressed. Does it matter how her illness manifest? No, ot to me.

I live in Philly, and on Saturday me and brothers had to take a road trip to Somerset County Pa, which is about 4 hours west of here and in the heart of "Pennsyltucky." At a rest stop on i70 we see a table full of kids and MAGA hats...that is the fight to me. Not some guest from a tabloid show.

I’m just old enough to remember when it was the worst nightmare for many a white woman to even have a fat ass.

Not sure if we’ve come so far or gone too far.
