Shinobi precedes Ninja Gaiden by a year 1987-1988 :P
Edit: I guess that could be read as he is still around/relevant or been around the most generations of games. Actually thinking about it they've had games in the same generations too, with both skipping the PS1/N64 era?
That is an impressive feat! So yeah, I guess that makes him the GOAT :)Gotta go with Joe Musashi.
He essentially beat the shit out of every pop culture icon from the 80's/90's in one game. Batman, Spider-Man, Godzilla, Terminator, Rambo, none of them could touch Joe. I still wonder how Zeed convinced Spider-Man to join them.
No, he's just combining them in the poll. It's by franchise.
Strider 2 had that affliction also:Why does it seem like Japan always got the better box arts compared to the Western versions? That, and the Japanese Strider (I imported it, then laughed my ass off when I saw the US version later) are quite a bit better than the variant.
Those are incredibly obscure lolWell, to make the Thread more interesting, I check some ninja who aren't present. In other words unknown ones because the games don't get release yet:
Ninja Team from Super Combat Fighter
Graffy the Ninja from Blazing Strike
Kai from Gravity Circuit
[Unknown] from Cyber Shadow
Ninjakoopas from NInjakoopas: Heroes of Light.
Reylee from Bushiden [I think he is a ninja]
Ninja Beetles from Ninja Beetles
Reiko from Rising Spirit
Just to name few of the ninja I know.
OP need more knowledge.
Another one posting an unknown character with no explanation.
It's okay - but when compared to the Japanese box art...
I had the limit of 5 choices for the poll, so I went with the most historical, popular, recognizable Ninjas.
Ah okay, to be honest after I posted I had to check the guys name so that kinda justified him not being on the poll. Ha.I had the limit of 5 choices for the poll, so I went with the most historical, popular, recognizable Ninjas.
If there was a 6th option, it would be Rikimaru from Tenchu.
Check the OP for the link to the far more comprehensive Strawpoll on the subject.
Protean hasty life orb Greninja with ice beam, scald, dark pulse and gunk shot.
252 speed, 100 attack and 158 special attack. I only play doubles btw.
I'd put money on Scorpion since he's a zombie alreadyRyu is obviously the only answer but the real question is who would win in an all vs all battle?
I'm surprised he's in 4th place as well.Voted Shinobi...which is currently in 4th place?!
I guess there haven't been any recent releases.
Great question.Ryu is obviously the only answer but the real question is who would win in an all vs all battle?
As I've said several times already - you're only limited to 5 choices on polls here, so I had to pick the most historic, recognizable, iconic and pop-culture-famous Ninjas to fill out the poll results. If you want a more detailed, comprehensive list; check the OP and click on the Strawpoll link.
I often forget and overestimate how much exposure people here have to classic Sega games. Not that it's ever too late for new people to enjoy these games. Everyone with a 3DS should check out Shinobi III at least.
He's too new to add to a list comprised of iconic, well-known, historical and pop-culture Ninjas.

Isn't Repede a samurai?
