I'm unfamiliar with it, but Dr.Web sounds like a URL-vetting service. And some of those services just don't recommend "unknown" sites to protect users. I'd guess that's what's happening here.

Web of Truth/WOT, a similar community-driven service of vetting URLS (which acts as adware bordering on malware now, don't use it), behaved like that. There were "green" sites users recommended, "red" sites that were flagged for various reasons, and "gray" sites that didn't have enough ratings.

This does not describe all of us here at ERA at all: https://antifraud.drweb.com/dangerous_urls/?lng=en

Which sites does Dr.Web consider non-recommended?
  • Bogus sites that use social engineering techniques to misguide users. These include, for example, fraudulent sites, referral programme sites, online casinos, sites promoting pyramid schemes and questionable ways to get rich quickly (clicking and bonus scams), websites offering miracle cures and other useless or harmful products and services etc..

Only era gold members are allowed into the casino. But I have to agree on this one thing: getting rich quickly by wetting the toothpaste on the toothbrush before brushing, is impossible.

Dr. Web is an old antivirus where you could upload suspicious files to them and they'd virus scan it on their end and tell you if it's clean. Been around forever. Don't know how relevant it is anymore.

ResetEra claims to be a website about video games, but in reality, not a single person on ResetEra plays video games. All those posts on Gaming side? AI generated.
referral programme sites
Plenty of referral codes being thrown around in the FFXIV OT, probably in the WoW OT too
It's called "NBA 2K"/"Madden"
sites promoting pyramid schemes
The site's logo is just a pyramid but rotated. Wake up, sheeple.
questionable ways to get rich quickly
Free Game Pass? Sounds like a get rich quick scheme to me.
websites offering miracle cures
Doctors hate this one weird trick, no wonder Dr. Web is trying to suppress the truth
and other useless ... products

I consider anime a harmful product so maybe they're on to something.

Doesn’t surprise me.
The amount of times Malwarebytes or BitDefender catches links in threads posted as potentially unsafe has increased so much recently, it’s become a joke.
