The just-above-teens are horny all the time because they're horny all the time.
The people who are older are horny all the time because it would be too damaging to their egos to admit they're not getting as much sex as they want

Oddly enough though, despite being horny, the stats seem to point to them having less sex than previous generations.

Because younger people are a) more encouraged to talk about it b) have more access to porn, reinforcing their horniness c) if some studies are to be believed, actually having less sex and therefore hornier

In all seriousness, as other people have said, I think it's because it has become more sociably acceptable to joke/talk about sex on the internet and that it makes us look more horny despite having less amount of sex than previous generations.
Not to mention that there are plenty of peeps who are asexual or just prefer to be single and not deal with sex or relationships.
