Internet pornography fucked up our sexual thoughts. People were always horny but the specific weird way we are was shaped by spending our formative years engrossed on a platform where any and every kind of pornography is available right at the tips of our fingers.
We grew up with internet porn (well, I didn't because we only had one computer and a dad who was pretty savvy about search history investigations, though I had him outsmarted by age 15). A lot of stuff is normal for us that really wasn't, even if every generation before gets the itch in their time.
I fundamentally disagree with your premise. I feel that there has never been more entertainment options that has us hooked and distracts us from our primal urges. Didn't The Atlantoc run an article about how millennials were getting less sex than the Baby Boomers?
