This is a weird topic even for me, but this has been a thing for YEARS and this latest one just made me wake the hell up at 6'am mad.

Each time, I'm having a good interaction with someone and by the time things get good, I'll either decide not to go through with it, some noise will happen outside and I'll leave to check to check it out and end up on an entirely new adventure in dream or in this case, I'll just invent a person to swoop and make a much better impression on the people I was flirting with and end up with both.

I always joked about it, but that last one genuinely upset me, this is weird. What's that about?

Because you don't know how to process/simulate the experience so your body wakes you up.
At least thats what I tell myself

I always believe dreams have either a hidden or obvious messages about our real world lives. Maybe you are afraid of commitment or following things through altogether? Maybe there is a obstacle or a situation you don't want to be in? Only you can work out what the dream means.

Commitment scares the crap out of me, but what does that have to do with sex?

I never saw any real graphic sex in my dreams until I experienced it in real life. Porn didn't count apparently.

try dreaming about someone you've been in a relationship with for a long time so you don't have first time pressure.

My brain will do the same thing with me, often by reminding me I'm married or just ending before anything fun can happen. Despite being fully aware what sex feels like/how it works I can only guess that my brain doesn't quite know how to simulate it properly in a dream and therefore doesn't want to bother.

Happens to me too.

My self esteem is so low I've told dreams they're making a mistake lmao.

I can't fight for shit in my dreams. An axe murderer will be about to kill me and my punches are in slow motion and do nothing.

"things get good" as in have sex? You may want to read up on book of subconciousness. Also, have sex is have sex. If you don't want to say it out loud in real life, your dream mind doesn't want to deal with it either.

Try to find out the reason you are scared of making commitment, more than your piers. Lay it out and examine the original motivation from a long time ago. Remember it. Post it on reddit if you don't want to say it here.

Things that I think of in my dreams tend to materialize/happen. In my dreams, that is.

If I think somethings gonna pop out and kill me, it does.
If I think I can fly, I do.

If I think I'm gonna fuck up this opportunity to get laid, I will.

Just worrying about it makes it happen.

Yeah, sounds like you're a bit repressed OP. I am too (was raised deeply Catholic) with lots of shame around sex. I so wish I could get that stuff out of my subconscious.

happens to me too. i don't think it means anything; dreams last about 10x shorter than they actually feel, so within say 30 seconds you can travel to the moon, be inaugurated as president, bake a cake and do several other things. so you meet a potential DTF partner in that time chances are you'll get sidetracked from the actual actual F-ing

I never had sex with anyone in my dreams besides my wife. I clearly remember having dreams about previous crushes and other attractive people, but stopping myself from doing anything with them them because I was already committed.

I don't try to think too much about it, because if remained faithful even in my dreams, I can't deny the feelings I felt, which makes this a really weird subject.

What? Both of these points are incorrect, lol. Plus none of these issues are in any way harmful or problematic.
hmm

Going lucid in a dream will trigger your brain to wake you up. There are methods that can help you stay asleep, but there's a good portion of people where these methods are ineffective and so their sleep is interrupted.

This could lead to an uncomfortable cycle of going to sleep -> lucid dreaming -> not being able to maintain the dream -> waking up prematurely. A night or two of this ain't bad. But this can last weeks or even months after training your brain to lucid dream.

I'm surprised you're surprised by this tbh. But yeah... this can definitely help OP stop c-blocking himself so I guess that's that.

Was raised Catholic and have always been (and still remain) incredibly repressed.

Most of my sexual dreams consist of extremely mild foreplay with zero nudity. After some time, either my parents come home, the door fails to stay shut or the person I'm with vanishes. I can count on maybe one hand the number of times I've had graphic sex in my dreams.

I'm of the opinion that dream analysis is largely a bunch of pseudoscientific crap but stuff like this makes me reconsider that stance. How you were raised truly does color you for life, which is why we dream of high school for years following graduation.

When I first read the topic of this thread I seriously expected it to be some kind of self-reference to an IPv4-based blocking of what used to be known as a C-class network.

So, "cock blocking" is still regarded as a thing. This is something I've never really understood. In my experience, nothing short of an earthquake can stop a cunt-owner and a cock-owner who want to bring their parts together.

I been dreaming about having sex before I even knew what sex was. When I was a wee lad it was a vampire lady who was holding my parents hostage unless she could touch my pee pee.

In retrospect... what the fuck?

So anyway, my advice, find you a dream vampire lady.

Preferably one that doesn't take your parents hostage, though.

I used to have dreams all the time about getting in fights and being too weak to punch people. Then I started working out in real life and the dreams just stopped. So it's definitely your brain trying to process, something.

Are you trying to say you're cock blocking yourself from having sex? Because none of the OP actually mentions sex or sexy stuff, and I think that says something right there.

The only thing I can't seem to do in my dreams (not as much now, but as a kid/adolescent) was running. Like, I wouldn't be able to get away from people/monsters chasing me at all. I tried so fucking hard but I was always so goddamn slow (I wasn't slow at all in real life). Dreams are weird.

It bothers me that you censored cock. That probably has something to do it, tbh.
I used the term "fucks with" in a thread title on the gaming side and got bitched at the entire first page, make up your mind Era.

It's literally all I have bruv. I'm approaching that year mark since I last got it in.

It really isn't hard to infer. Let's not be obtuse.
