Why don't Women's pants have pockets?

Working on that also.
I don't for the life of me understand why this is a thing. Do some women not want pockets? Are there enough women to justify making ALL women's pants without pokers? Cause I don't think so, most women I know love wearing dudes pants around the house so they can have pockets.

So yeah pants makers.... Why don't you give women pockets? I'm sure they would appreciate them. But I don't know, what do you think era?

Women tend to wear tighter outfits which will look worse with stuff in your pockets.

...I def prefer to buy the pants with pockets.

Some have pockets but pockets give an outline or the fabric for the pocket bump out on the sides especially since pants for women are pretty tight and no pockets = smooth thigh area at a distance. Think this is quite noticeable for tuck-in tops aka the pants are high waisted Having pockets on the sides can make hips look bigger too which is a no no most of the time. So yeah, for aesthetics.

I also learned around that time why so many working women i know compartmentalise and have pouches for different functions. Definitely easier/nicer to bring a small makeup bag to the bathroom after lunch than clutching a lipstick!

I don’t know where you are from, but it is common for womens pants to have pockets as well as no pockets.

Hell dresses have pockets these days.

My favorite is when I find a pair of pants with those fake pockets. Either commit to having pockets or go pocketless. Stop giving me false hope. Most pairs of my pants that actually have pockets have crap ones, but I rather crap pockets than no pockets . I get better pockets out of dresses now , so I just been going in that direction.

I think the pants that OP is referring to are the Yoga Pants that a lot of women wear on a daily basis.

which just brings up the question of why do women wear tight pants?

Seems way more practical to get looser pants so you can stuff your pockets, so you don't have to carry a purse.

Not that I'm saying anyone should be looking at women's butts daily, but it's super noticeable when there's a phone in the back pocket. I notice every single time. lol We put the phone in the back pocket because it's the most useful pocket on the pants. The front ones are way too tiny to hold these monster phones that are only getting bigger. Hell the front ones are way too tiny to hold anything really.

Pant makers don't make proper pockets on women's pants because they want to outline the butts/legs and baggy enough pockets (read: pockets that are actually useful for carrying anything bigger than a clump of tissues or a keycard) go against that.

I use a purse but I'd rather not have to. It's just a necessity.

I am just saying that pockets on women's pants exist, not that they are functional.

My wife has shifted from a purse to a fanny pack for casual outings.

It gets old real fast. I hate how alot of the pants i find have fake pockets. Basically have to wear mens pants when i need something with pockets.

It's a source of frustration for my wife. If they do have pockets, they're not useful.

Both my 4 yo and toddler girls have pants/shorts with better pockets....

My friends used to buy dresses, then sew in pockets by themselves.

Pants are a whole other story though.

“Buy pants with pockets” is a nice thought if only our pockets aren’t skin tight and can barely hold anything. I would love to have more pants with proper front-side pockets that can hold a phone without it looking whack.
