We all know that the DCEU is considered a failure and I wanted to know, why is that?
Not Justice League.Failure is quite the word considering they have been profitable.
With an estimated production budget of $300 million, Justice League is one of the most expensive films ever made. The film grossed $657 million worldwide against a break-even point of $750 million, becoming a box office bomb and losing the studio an estimated $60 million.
Just a director telling his Superman how he wants him to kill a guy.
He's not that bad so long as he's not given too much creative freedom, which is why his best two movies are probably Dawn of the Dead and 300.
Hes directing Henry Cavill for the climactic scene in Man of Steel
Zack Snyder giving a demo on how Superman should kill the villain of the movie. Some deeper context behind the scene as a whole is that Christopher Nolan and some other people at WB were actually super against Superman killing Zod and Snyder basically kept inventing scenarios that would force Superman to kill until Nolan & company ultimately gave in. Snyder ultimately just wanted to see Superman off someone.
They're not very good. Even WW would be a mid-low tier MCU film and that's the best they have.
But then he makes some truly fucking abysmal stuff like Sucker Punch and BvS.He's not that bad so long as he's not given too much creative freedom, which is why his best two movies are probably Dawn of the Dead and 300.
