Games Workshop do seem to be making more of an effort to make more good female models.

She's showing real guts. Can't say the same for the male MC.It's certainly not sin free, but definitely a huge step up from the past few entries. So I think it's alright to be happy right now.
They upped her bust size once the game was funded successfully.Watched the new Bloodstained trailer and I could've sworn Miriam's outfit wasn't so revealing and she wasn't so busty before. Am I wrong?
I vaguely recall them saying they wanted the crystal on her heart to be more noticeable. They upped her bust size once the game was funded successfully.

Hopefully the school setting is just for the first half of the game, with the inevitable war forcing you to choose sides, and potentially lead an army against your own former students...Not gonna lie, that premise seems like the most boring way to make a Fire Emblem game. But hey, medieval anime high school! Good job Nintendo!
I'll give it to you. There's still some dumb zettai ryouiki but nothing as fucking stupid as the frilly dress with thigh high stckings and garter belts like miss blondie wore in Fire Emblem Warriors. So yeah this is a step up.If I was in charge of designs, you'd hardly see any skin at all. But this is an improvement from the past few games and really does not meet my previous fears of exposed triple d's and garter belt armor among other things. It's better and by a fair margin, can we not acknowledge that?
Like I've been saying, this game does have a school setting but doesnt appear to me they're highschoolers. It looks more like an Academy of young adults (i.e. college age 18+ year olds) rather than 14-17 year old kids like in every other goddamn anime school.I'm legit surprised (in a good way!) that there doesn't appear to be any creepy student/teacher relationships.
Gets dumber when you remember the one jutting out of her back.
A teacher/student relationship is still super creepy when the students are college age.Like I've been saying, this game does have a school setting but doesnt appear to me they're highschoolers. I could still be wrong though. I hope Im not.

Well at least it'd be between consenting adults unlike the 15 year old girls Japanese developers love to populate their fictional schools with.A teacher/student relationship is still super creepy when the students are college age.

Well Valkyria Chronicles 2 did this and...uh...it was boring...uh oh.I'm still on about how boring a premise this all is. Three Houses made me think of three storylines in a war, but instead it's just... a school... with different colored uniforms. -_-
Hopefully the naiions go to war with each other not long into the game. They could actually have an interesting storyline by having those that were once friends being forced to fight each other to the death on the battlefield. It would also be great for replayability if they let you choose which kingdom to ally yourself with.I'm still on about how boring a premise this all is. Gonna go out on a limb and say this doesn't turn into a Game of Thrones, "stab your previous friends in the back" kinda thing.Hopefully the naiions go to war with each other not long into the game. Nope, still hate the design. Supposedly a mercenary yet exposing her stomach, wearing tights and short pants. Yet the male Avatar hardly shows any skin. Classic IS. Hell, she must be also wearing boots with heels. It's certainly not sin free, but definitely a huge step up from the past few entries. So I think it's alright to be happy right now.

It's like they wanted to go with the sexy teacher archetype then realized she had to be a warrior but still really wanted the sexy teacher thing.God the female avatar design for 3 Houses is hot trash. Especially when it's the same game with Edelgard who looks fine.

At least they've given us gender anarchists the choice to select a "form", I guess? Sure beats "ARE YOU A BOY OR A GIRL?"!Was just going through the direct, catching up and ... just why.
I could deal with her naval showing if it also wasn't paired with short shorts and mesh panty hose. That design is such trash. Was just going through the direct, catching up and ... just why.
She did art for Samurai Shodown Sen last gen. Fantastic art, terrible game.Has the designer for Path of Radiance/Radiant Dawn done anything since then? Shame really.
From the looks of her Twitter, she's been doing variants of her characters for Fire Emblem Heroes, and she also did this cool Samurai Shodown art for SNK's 40th anniversary.Has the designer for Path of Radiance/Radiant Dawn done anything since then? Shame really.
That last JRPG whose name I can't remember featuring the protagonist with heterochromia, they legit looked like preteens. We're reaching some sort of detail-less flesh but overdesigned sci-fantasy outfit singularity.Every anime game in that direct had same main characters:
^this is not from the Direct.
Why is it always the same? Where's the creativity from this creative freedom?
The main male character with the same style hair, young, and featureless face and body.
Then the female character is the same but always shorter, younger, and more exposed.
Making a young character? Fine. Can they be 30 or 20 at least? Give them some muscles, different hair styles, facial hair, different fucking skin tones!
There's a range of young people you can base looks off of. ffs.
I've said this before but I can't think of a single male JRPG original protagonist (strictly protagonist, ensamble casts or playable party members who aren't the MC don't count) who has been seen with facial hair.Every anime game in that direct had same main characters:

This always happens with anime characters. When you look outside the JRPG space, Japanese video games have older protagonists with diverse appearances. But once a game has an anime artstyle its welp better make them 15.Every anime game in that direct had same main characters:

Kiryu from Yakuza is the only one I can think of, but Yakuza isn't a traditional JRPGs. Kiryu is also a rare 30+ year old character.I've said this before but I can't think of a single male JRPG original protagonist (strictly protagonist, ensamble casts or playable party members who aren't the MC don't count) who has been seen with facial hair.
Holy shit you are so rightFemale MC for 3 houses looks like she came from TMS#FE and in the context of ~actual~ Fire Emblem that's a hell of a mess of a design
