Some brazilian artists started a hashtag called #euzoken on twitter, where people draw themselves as the girls in eizouken opening... it all happened after some youtuber called the character designs as ugly and an artist tweeted a picture saying "myself ugly cartoon version" in protestSorry to make anime invade again but Eizoken is still keeping up with its good designs for its cast

I love this because its still what people would call "anime as fuck" but its also not completely disgusting.
Zeta girlfriend also goes the similar direction. It still not perfect.
Ilsa, their commander, is a pretty strong lady and her first outfit pretty nice look with some weird designs. Her most recent outfit is very much a mess.

Been playing a lot of Fate/Grand Order recently. Fair share of problematic designs (What the fuck is PassionLip), but it's got my girl Ryougi Shiki, who has a very simple design that just looks fantastic.
They need to add Arcueid for my one-two punch of simple but amazing Type-Moon designs

The skirt isn't 5 inches long, it's just being covered by a long sweater. The problem is a common artist mistake of making the legs way too long. In that picture her legs are more than a "head length" longer than her upper body. You measure to the hip line (where the leg bones actually connect to the hip. You don't arbitrarily stop at the skirt lol. The character has a female body model which makes the hip line easy to identify at about where the sweater ends.??? Not really.

I like that she has a revealing corset AND a zipped down jumper, like the artist couldn't decide which fanservice angle to take so they just did both

As an heterosexual man, can´t see the appeal for the "anime-girl" most common designs. I wanted to play Granblue Fantasy Versus , but man, the majority of women on that game look so bad...
Speaking of netcode, SFV it has same problem. Some design just... doesn´t do any good.

I will give it one thing. You can get realistic female armor in the game that doesn't have boobplates (however sadly there are characters who do have that) and it looks quite nice and since you can transmog all armor, you can at least avoid it.

I get what you mean but yeah I've always really liked Meruru too, the colors are gorgeous. Atelier has a lot of really nice designs mainly in the Dusk series like Ayesha, she's another favorite of mine.
I'm not normally one to notice this stuff but the way her right thigh and knee are pointing one way, only for her lower leg to point out the the side and also be bendy is really hurting me

The game itself looks fantastic and the gameplay is also very good but the designs of the women are laughable so far.
The dialog and story are a trashfire too. As if a 14 year old was asked what's cool and sexy...

Damn. Had no idea.
Looks like Nintendo acted preemptively before any real legal trouble started, and I think this was the first (and only?) DOA game on Nintendo hardware.
Still, it's probably why in the earlier games Tecmo hid the ages of Kasumi and Ayane in the western versions. If the intention behind Marie Rose is true, then combined with this it's safe to say Tecmo konws exactly what it's doing.
They do, as far as I'm concerned. Can't be a coincidence that after that whole mess, one of the games introduced a Swedish girl who claims to be 18 years old despite looking not older than 14.
That she became a fan favorite almost immediately is just the icing on the cake.
