Really enjoying the Selene design from Returnal, we don't see many women in games that don't look really young (even less protagonists)

Lol was about to post this too basically. The game looks dope, and I hope it does good to show that older women can be main protagonists. Hope the story treats her good, will have to wait to see, but the trailers are promising.

Remember when fans were complaining about her boobs being too small... despite them still looking like they make up a quarter of her body weight
I remember that...it's insane they wanted them bigger as they are already big as is it and I don't know how it'll work to make them bigger.

To those people it doesn't matter. They would prefer straight up for the boobs to be Tifa herself and be wrecking ball sized and the rest of her body is just attached.

Edit-talking about the chuds specifically that were saying this stuff prelaunch. Actual body shaming isn't acceptable going either way though.

Ha, I don't get people like that. Plus imagine the back problems she could have, it'll be too much!
I'm a guy and it baffles me as much you do. It's like for some guys there's no such thing as too big, all they have to do is just imagine being able to bury their face in them and nothing else matters. And then they'll just laugh off things like "back problems".

A while back I read an online article about a woman who had a medical condition that caused her breasts to swell to an absurd size (it was J Cup iirc) the article mentioned all the hardships, anxiety and excruciating pain she was in until she finally got a reduction surgery and was doing much better. And if course, the first couple of comments were "Nooo! Don't get them reduced, the porn industry pays good money for breasts that size" and "God imagine burying your face in boobs that big..." The lack of empathy is so sad.

Yea but anyway, Tifa absolutely could have more muscles, would fit her character. Her remake design could be worse, but could definitely be better. The skirt will always just look silly to me tbh.

Edit-And yea let's cut it back on talking about porn and stuff. Keep it to the character designs.

Oh right, I guess I used the wrong term. What is it then? You should know what I'm referring to.
Are you thinking of Zettai ryōiki/Absolute Territory? (The section of exposed leg?) I really dislike that the most about the design. Why is the rest of the character covered and then her leg is totally not? It just isn't practical.

I've also been seeing quite a bit of that particular kind of boob plate lately and it is awful.

Everything about the Perfect Dark Zero era was ridiculous. Early concept art from 2002:

And at one point she looked like this:

And then this was official artwork to promote the game:

…isn't Joanna 17 in Zero? Cause these pictures are fucking yikes if so. Certainly didn't act like an adult even if she was.

Yeah.

It's crazy looking back at that time.Video game magazines doing swimsuit specials. Official artwork meant to show characters half-naked.

Playboy publishing nude CG artwork of Bloodrayne.
Oh yeah I remember that. I do like the Blood Rayne games but it seems they just want to sexualize her for the hell of it.

I just wanted to share an update from a game that I've been following for a long time, Alaloth. They finally revealed the first companion in the game.

She's sexualized, alright, with the boob armor and thigh gap. At least it's not offensive and she looks ready for battle as a cleric. Moreover, the game is isometric anyway. I also like that stuff about material breakdowns.

Sometimes I hate designs like this more than overtly sexualized ones. I don't look at 2b and think of the changes she needs to be better while retaining her aesthetic because its just irredeemably bad, simple and easy.

But ones like this, there is a cool character hidden under these bad choices, and that is a bummer.

How busy that design is offends my sensibilities more than anything. The boob plates/patches are silly along with the bare upper thighs.

Wow, is it really that bad?

I mean, yeah it's totally unfortunate that the little things that brought the design down. I think it could've been much better if they put at least some leather on her thighs instead of just bare skin. But I'll take it than having to deal with openly sexualized characters so that I have to play the game in secret while my wife/son are asleep like I'm playing some hentai game.

Its not that the design is worse, its just more disappointing? No one (except Hideo Kojima I guess, words and deeds) will make a character that looks like 2b or flesh pit mileena and think they aren't objectifying the character. They at least know what they are doing. But the person who made the design of this woman probably doesn't even think they did anything strange.

Never underestimate someone's ability to rationalize how they got to a place their dick led them...

Yeah, you're right. It's definitely disappointing, they're this close to perfection.

Everything about Returnal is intriguing to me. Just hope it doesn't mess up the psychological thriller vibes with a female protagonist compared to The Medium, and is more in line with Control.

I can't imagine browsing steam for something new to play. Steam discovery has always been garbage, but it's been especially egregious ever since they opened up the waifu floodgates. Those games never show up in the best selling either, so is it like bots wishlisting them or something, I don't want to believe they're really that popular.

Anyone get weird about Yuffie yet?

I'm morbidly curious, but also expect that Tifa is the only FF lady to get those kinds of riveting analysis, mostly because they probably don't even know the other characters.

Is it search by tag or is in the beginning store page?
