I like it,it is not amazing,but it good,the shield wolf is bad.

Why Zacian is a poorly designed Pokémon.

In gen 7 it was Zeraora.
In gen 6 it was Goodra.
In Gen 5 it was Zoroark.
In Gen 4 it was Lucario.
In gen 3 it was the L@ti's
In gen 2 it was Lugia.
In gen 1 it was Charizard and Arcanine.

That seems pretty creative to me. I don't often see dogs wielding swords or shield doggos.
I'm hoping they grow on me, but at the moment both legendaries look overdesigned. I don't have any issue with the sword itself.

i think seeing the design static doesn't really get the coolness of the design across - it was definitely the fluidity of its movement in the trailer that sold me. to me, it also fits in with pokemon because it feels comparable to other legendaries - it's like if suicune picked up a sword in its mouth, with some design elements from cobalion. to be fair, there are so many fucking pokemon at this point that it's going to be inevitable that there's another design you can draw a parallel to from a previous gen.
now zamazenta, on the other hand, has that same design problem that delphox has of being bulky to a point where the design/silhouette is hard to read. i get what they were going for, it's a defensively powerful, stout tank of a pokemon, but it just doesn't look very visually appealing, imo. but some people love it, so to each their own.
ETA: plus, i have a feeling that the sword will be explained in-game with some lore, like maybe it belonged to an ancient galarian king or something. if the in-lore justification for the sword is good enough, would that improve the design for you, OP?

To the point and 100% accurate. For me, it really comes down to my first impression. It reminds me of Sif, so I am immediately drawn to it. Just like Xerneas kind of reminded me of the forest spirit/deer from Princess Mononoke, even though Yveltal looked "stronger".
I agree. I don't really like either of the Box Legendaries, but I might got with Shield Version just because I dislike that wolf less. I would've liked Zacian better if it had more sword elements worked into its design. Ah well. Every other pokemon they've shown from this Gen looks great, so it's really just 2 duds so far.
It looks organic, like it makes sense (for a pokemon). The armor seems like it's naturally part of the head/neck. The sides go back and appear like wings or additional shoulder armor. It has a curve that reminds me of a chariot, and not just a random shield attached.Zama is a genuinely cool design:
It's a nicely-designed regal aesthetic, until it brings the shield together.
Especially since we literally just got White Shield lion legendary last generation.
