Give that shit to Rockstar and let us finally have an open world game that can wear the SW moniker properly.
Give it to anyone as long as I get a truly open world Star Wars game out of it.

Sony gon be all over that shit.
But who would they get to do it?
They wouldn't give it to a company that would make it a console exclusive.
They're not gonna give the SW license to a company who would make it platform exclusive.
how does spiderman ps4 exists then? marvel games turned to sony asking them to make a game, knowing full well it'll be an exclusive, no reason why would this be any different. They wouldn't give it to a company that would make it a console exclusive.
But they gave Niche-Man to a company who made it a platform exclusive...They're not gonna give the SW license to a company who would make it platform exclusive.
Surely you're not calling Spider-Man nicheBut they gave Niche-Man to a company who made it a platform exclusive...
One superhero out of tons which isn't even the Marvel License as a whole. But they gave Niche-Man to a company who made it a platform exclusive...
I get ya, thats kinda what I meant with the Marvel route; everybody should get a shot at Star Wars, platform exclusive or multiplatform. One superhero out of tons which isn't even the Marvel License as a whole.
Its an ERA joke
go the marvel route and just contract per game basis.

It'd be really nice if Disney takes the license back next year and starts lending it out on a game-by-game basis instead of selling the rights exclusively to any publisher.
So why did you say they wouldnt give the license to someone who will make it console exclusive again? I am confused what is your argument here, you just shown another marvel game that is console exclusive. You still have other Marvel things releasing on other platforms like Ultimate Alliance 3 on Switch, and the upcoming Avengers game that's coming to all current gen systems and PC.

I meant that they will do it like spiderman, not lock the entire star wars ip only to sony. You are saying they would lock down Star Wars to Sony. That wouldn't happen. As with Marvel they don't have the rights locked down, only Spider-Man.
This. It'd be really nice if Disney takes the license back next year and starts lending it out on a game-by-game basis instead of selling the rights exclusively to any publisher.

Agreed. Could easily slap a Star Wars skin over most of their major franchises and it would turn out competent e.g. Assassins Creed, Far Cry, For Honor, the Division. They should license per game like Marvel games. IF I had to choose 1 publisher, it would be Ubisoft.
Huggeee difference between licensing a single IP and an entire brand. Tho obviously if Disney sanctioned Star Wars on a case-by-case basis the way Marvel is, then sure why not.how does spiderman ps4 exists then? marvel games turned to sony asking them to make a game, knowing full well it'll be an exclusive, no reason why would this be any different.
I mean, just combine Starlink with Assassin's Creed and/or Ghost Recon Wildlands and you've got a great all-rounded Star Wars game right there.Agreed.
